In ten years a 174" will be considered the norm. We'll see longer and longer tracks. Look back 10 and 20 years ago. They have always increased in lenght. Now everyone go out a buy your 174" so that the depend goes up and prices come down on them. In the end the manufacturers will sale a stock 174 if not bigger.

track size

I have run everything from a 1211 inch to currently a 3" 174 boosted apex k-mod cr tunnel my vote is for the 174 i found that any manouverability that i lost with a bigger track was made up for by the fact that you can go slower without getting stuck - havent been stuck with the 174

3" x 16" x 162

Haven't tried it but it looks awesome!!! I am sure it will rock. The 2 1/2" worked great before.

I went from a 162x15x2.25 CE to 174x16x2.5 and I love it. I really don't notice the extra length or width except it works incredible for deep snow and climbing...as for as tractoring along, pretty sure I certainly haven't lost any track speed or velocity on my MCXpress nytro.

Would never use a smaller track after riding a 174. :)

Honestly, why not a 159" deep finger track? The snow isn't always fluffy powder, typically will set up, and while pushing 13+lbs of blower what difference does it really make? You push your capabilities more to one side but in reality I guess you have to ask yourself if you really do or not. Just my .2
