Allright guys the debate is on. It's come down to the 162 Challenger Extreme 2.5 vs Power Claw 162.
They are priced very close so what do you guys think would be the best track for riding the Utah mountains?

Yes I've read all the other posts on here but want to know what Utah guys have to say about the 2 tracks in our area.

Power claw !! hands down the best track I have ridden in utah snow. And yes I have compared it to the 2.5 and the EXACT same sled. The claw is better! Ask johnnyquestutah how he likes his 2.5 against my claw!

That's what I'm leaning toward, My thinking is better clearance in my tunnel with out a D&R and 8 pounds lighter. but I would like as much info as I can. How does it handel with high horsepower? Is it really as bad as some guy make it out to be on the down hill performance?

Does the CE 2.5 really trench in the fluff?

It's going on a 04 edge with a 900UBR + Nitrous. with 7T drivers to fit the track. I know I'm not a turbo but HP wise I'm not that far off. It's rated at 200Hp + NOS. I know the CE is tried and true to hold up. Some of the turbo guys are saying the PC aren't good for turbo power. but I'm not turbo I'm a big bore does that apply to me also?

CE or PC? And let us know why you think one is better than the other.

Its a toss up....i like the CE because its stiffer and wont fold with bigger HP....but the PC is working just fine

The CE does trench more in fluffy powder

And yes that sled does have the 2.5 extreme on it. My sled (same sled) has the claw, you can see my track just behind him as I went up to help.

Next question? If I go with power claw do I need to run it fully clipped? I thought I had to for runnning extrovert/como drivers and I currently have hyperfax on the rails. Can I run clipped every other with hyperfax Or would it be better to ditch the hyperfax altogether? Does anyone have a crimping tool I can borrow to put extra clips on?

I am the proud new owner of a brand new 162 power claw. I picked it up for $500 from a local AC dealer who had a left over from last year. Cheapest I could find online was $630 shipped. Price I got for Extreme 2.5 162 was $703 shipped.

I hope this is as good as you guys say. Do you think I'll be allright to run it every other clip like it comes or do I need to add the extra clips? I'm thinking I might be ok running it as is any opinions?

I've seen a few posts of guys saying thier paddels are folding over because of thier turbos and track can't handel the power. Looks like to me the paddels are set forward to begin with brand new,Just part of the design of the track.

Thanks for the advice.

Pc for N/A

True

I ride with two tiny people who only weight 140ish.....they both like the camo 2.5 better as sled/body weight will make the stiff 2.5 lug dig very deep

no doubt the 2.5 will dig a trench, hope the OVS coupler helps with that:beer;
