best spot to get power from besides 12V plug in?

sorced out a intercooler fan http://www.ebay.com/itm/110554042350?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
I was wondering were the best spot to get power without having to unplug it if i take my hood off.

Headlight wire for the trigger. You will need a relay. The main positive that goes into the fuse box likely will be the best spot to get a good power source. You need to fuse it though. Honestly the evo fan kit is a great deal unless your the DIY'er. There is a lot of work getting the relay and all the wiring done correctly.

the EVO kit is nice but it shouldn't be that difficult adding 4 wires to save myself $150. Do you think it would be to much of a draw on the system if a person was to just use the 12v plug in to power it and add a fuse? I know a little about electrical but not alot so any info would be appreciated.

I did my own. It is a lot of monkey business and like I said it should have a relay. I am very much a DIY'er. Save yourself some trouble and use a spal fan though and make sure it is a pull not a push.

what size of relay did you use and what size of fuse did you go with? I just found a relay harness laying around the shop so im gonna use that. Why do you think the spal fan is better and easier than the one I posted the link to? Thanks for the help.

Spal is a good fan that a lot of oems use. They are proven. Cost about $20 over that one you posted the link too.

Likely the relay harness you found wouldbe the one to use. A 15 amp relay would be fine. Probably overkill but nothing wrong with that. A 10 amp fuse is likely a good size. The fan pulls like 5 amps.

i want to get a fan like that for the knee area of the sled, i wan to pull air out of the clutch side of the sled to try and keep it cool, how big a fan can i use? i want to get a waterproof style slim fan maybe 4"-8" odu, i was going to power it with the reverse beeper power, once i find out how much power i can use on that, its right their above where i would put the fan..
any ideas?

think it will be enough?

im thinking the combination of both will be the ticket..

their is a lot of motor under the hood and a lot of heat to be removed....
