Best snow tires?

I really like my BFG A/T KO's. Two winters on them and they are stable on the snow and ice. I don't go off-highway or on gravel, so I don't know how they work when you're out in the sticks.

I have sold most brand tires at my shop and there are Two snow specific truck tires I REALLY like. First is the Cooper Discover M+S. It is studdable and is the snow and Ice version of the ATR. I run them year round on the old lady's dodge diesel and she has 30-40% tread left after 30K. not bad for a GREAT snow tire. The other tire I like is the Bridgestone Blizzak W965. This is only available in a couple of the common truck sizes but it is their commercial grade snow tire that comes mostly in a 10 ply. Awesome on plowtrucks and towrigs allike. These tires are both studdable and leaps ahead of any AT or MT on snow or Ice due to their cyping and soft rubber compounds. For a commercial grade Light Truck snow tire, I would go with the Cooper Discoverer M+S or the Bridgestone Blizzzak W965. Just two measly cents from a small tire shop in deep snow country. Craig

continental make a true winter tire now called the arctic extreme, its d rated and is in a 285-70-17 perfect size for a stock dodge 3500, once you try a true winter studded tire you will always run them in the winter [ no bull] i run the 305-65-17 brg at 10 ply tirea also. Pulling ther big trailers in the mountains i really like the traction of the winter studded tire, our roads suck up here in the winter.

autolodge, what mud tire would you recommend for an 03 dodge deisel. my last set were toyo mts. awesome tires in the snow but sh-t for wear. 50,000 kms and they are insanely bald. they were shot like 10 or 15,000 kms ago.

not trying to hijack the thread but is there a descent mt out there that actually lasts. i've heard guys say toyos last when rotated every 5000km. i know that'll never happen with me.
