best skis for mountain riding

Just purchased an 05 summit from a guy that was doing only trail riding. It's got narrow
trail skis on it and I will need to upgrade the skis.

Will be riding in the Whistler/B-C area, so about 30% trail riding and 70% mountain riding.

Looking for the best skis for those conditions.


Will probably be doing some spring riding as well in wetter/slushy/heavier snow, so should I keep the
powder skis for that or get different ones or use the narrower trail skis that are on the sled now?

If you want cheaply priced skis that do a great job look for a set of take off pilot 6.9's. They came on the 2006 and up Summits.

If you don't mind spending some money go with a set of MOD skis, they were designed around the REV platform and are suppossed to be the cats meow. They must be pretty damn good since you never see a used set for sale.
