Best ski for 05 Rev 800X?

I am thinking of replacing the stock skis with something else. What is the best aftermarket ski out there for a rev?
Right now the stock skis are the off set style. I like them but maybe looking for something different.

I put SLP SLT's on my Rev and like them alot, have had Simmons in the past....IMO the SLT is a better all-around ski. I feel the Rev benefits from a narrower ski, even in the deep.

Have tried simmons, powder pros and slydog powder hounds on my 05.Settled on the slydogs, seemed to be a better ski for me with my setup, which has the limiter sucked up a bit.

I just switched the offsets on my 04 to pilot 6.9's big difference. I am in MN so I need a ski that can work decent at home and still handle the big snow on trips west. Overall they work well.

Mods skis

I have a demo set of skis that I have for peeps to try here in Alberta.

I've never had anyone try the MODS that didn't buy them. YET !!! LOL;)

Check them out www.modsskis.com

If you see me at Revy ask to ride my sled.:D

Powder Pros

I've used simmons and didn't care for them at all when it came to sidehilling. I've run powder pros for four seasons now and love 'em. For me they shine on the sidehilling. They are still aggressive and corner great at speed on the trail.

When I bought my 06 Summitt X from the original guy that snow checked it he had removed the stock 6.9 Pilot skis and replaced them with a pair of SLP/SLT skis. The sled darted so bad on the trail that any thing over 30 mph felt like you were going to loose it. First thing I did was get rid of em. I know from previous post that some guys like em on the Rev, but they didn't work for me. :(

Sled set-up is critical with SLP's.
I run a pair of Powder Pro's and love them but you can't just bolt them on with the same ski pressure as the garbage stock skis and expect to love them!
I used to run the SLP SLT's and they were not aggressive enough so I went to the Powder Pro's.

With too much ski pressure they will dart something fierce but back off the pressure (limiter strap) and be sure your alignment is correct (I found that a toe OUT of 5/8" is great) You'll have an all around excellent set-up.

Snow quality makes a huge difference too and in our Cascade concrete we have here in Washington they tend to bite a little too hard sometimes and can give you a real workout.

They're a great sidehilling ski too but if your skis are off the ground all day what does it matter!

On my 06 Rev, the previous owner had the SLT skis toed out 1/4" total.

The front shocks set at 3 and the limiter strap on the 2nd hole (factory setting). The front skid shock was showing 1 1/2" of thread above the nut.

The sled darted like a mother ****er

Talked to the Tech at the local dealership and his comment was "Get rid of em, those ain't no skis for a mountain sled". :D
