Hey guys I know ice age rails are the cats *** and i folded my 155 assault ones last winter. Just wondering if you know any other shops or places with cheaper ones? thanks for your time - clayton

there wasnt much for vendors with them at the edmonton sled show. Ive been keeping my eyes peeled

They were at the SLC utah show this weekend, Don't know but did not ask just looked.

I went through the same process of looking for rails. I bent my Pro rails. The only company that I know of is Ice Age. Yep, they are pricey but I was hesitant to buy stockers again after I bent them up. I bought the Ice Age rails at the Denver snow show and got them for 20% off. Only problem is I'm still waiting on them to get fabricated. You also need the rear wheels from Ice Age as well.

Yeah its a bit pricy thanks dave i wish i woulda seen that! I ordered red anodized and with black wheels. i hope the stock axle will work.

the stock axle will work with the stock plastic wheels will work with the ice age rails. Im not sure if the anodized billet wheels work with the stock axle though.

Ice Age rails, unless recently changed, requires an 8" wheel minimum. You can use your stock axle, but they require bigger rear wheels. If you run the stock wheels on the Ice Age rails, the end of the rail rubs/clicks on the metal clips of the track and will prematurely wear out your track.

they must have changed that or maybe its an option. my Ice Age rails are set-up for the stock Polaris wheels

I just went to their website and the idler size drop down menu only has options for either an 8"or 9" wheel. Not saying you cant run the stock wheel, but it isn't what the rails were designed for. They have a higher profile in the rear compared to the stock rails.

True that. I opted for the 8" wheels. They were another $50 but I figured if I'm setting up the rear, better make it good!

Just run the stock wheels you will be fine. ive been running bomber rails for years with stock axle and wheels and had no issues. :face-icon-small-coo if your worried about it, then upsize to 8"

Well heres my current dillema.. they called me and itll be 2.5 weeks before anodizing any rails taked place not including shipping which if all goes well would be 5-6 days. So I have a sled trip booked on the 4-9th of dec.

So to play it safe the guy said they have a set of black 9'' rails and 9 '' wheels in stock. But they charge 100$ a damn wheel. Honestly its retarded. do we get any discount ? I dont feel like spending 730$ for friggen rails and wheels lol.

Bomber rails have less weight saving windows cut in them and are thicker. They basically are solid rails. They also cost more.

The bomber rails should be cheaper in reality as they spend less time getting CNC'd (Less electricity to run the mill for a shorter cycle time, less tooling wear, less surface area for anodizing (they charge by the surface area)).

It must be strictly a lower demand issue, smaller quantity runs = higher price.

Anyone running the 9'' wheels? wondering if it helps roll better? Also hope that stock axle holds up
