Best Rev XP exhaust setup? 08' 800 154"

My vote goes to stock pipe, SLP y-pipe.
From what I have seen the other pipes tend to just move the numbers around a bit, no clear advantage over stock besides weight loss.

I am running Dynoport y-pipe, Dynoport pipe and the THING can. I just took off my stock pipe (had can before) and the Dynoport pipe and y-pipe kill the stock pipe in every category...noise, power and weight. Dynoport stuff was very well built and fit perfect! I would recommend this set-up to anyone, although I don't have any numbers.

Dynoport

Dynoport claims 3 hp on the Y and 4 on the pipe. It is definetly all of that if not more. I recommended it to a stock 800 rider and rode with him last weekend and he was amazed. Use the MBRP Can.

Preferably one that doesn't fail internally for no reason, and then turn your new xp into a rolling BBQ. Couldn't give me a Ski Doo again if it was free and gold plated. xp is short for POS !

Hey MTNytro

The mod sled that was at the Deep Powder Challenge had a CPI pipe and can, it was written that this combo obtained 11 hp and CPI claims 9hp and almost 9 pounds on the pipe and a weight savings of nearly 10 pounds and doing the math, a gain of 2hp on the can!

Does anyone have any numbers or facts to back this up. I would say that is fairly impressive!

I guess this is where reading comprehension skills come in handy! Yamaha thread is located in sledforums/Y.A.M.A.H.A. In that thread, you may find questions that apply directly to something you may be able to answer WITH some form of intelligence. Otherwise, would you please comment on what exhaust set-up you found to work the best for the XP you currently own? If I am not mistaken, that was the question!:face-icon-small-con

Don't waste yer $$$

Best combo, HPS silencer with Stock pipe & "Y w/ no insulation & ceramic coated equals +5 sled lengths faster than stock, AT high elevation. Proved, over, & over, & over again this year...................

+5 sleds lenghts? Nope

SLP Y pipe works for me. Have a HPS can and its a little loud for me. Seem to have a bit more throttle response with HPS can but I couldn't notice any real gains (seat of the pants test).

What do you mean " no insulation"?
