Need help on riding spots!

I am new to riding in Utah and need help on where to go. I live in Springville and the only place I know to go is Timberlakes/Tower Mountain Area. (40.49583, -111.26365) This is where I park and go out. This last winter was not the best up there. Seems like most of the storms either went south of us or north. I like powder and hill climbing, and not so much riding in the trees. I was told to go try Fairview, and Gaurdmans pass. I know where Fairview is but no I idea where you park and go riding out of. Can anyone help on where you park and then where you go out. Can you give the Lat & Long off google maps for the parking lot. I would really appreciate it, so I have more than one place to go this winter. Thanks

It may not be exact directions but this will give you a good idea of the major riding areas and trailheads.

Go to http://www.snowut.com then click on trails on the banner at the top. It has .pdf trail maps with trailhead\parking.

Fairview is hard to beat. That could be cause I am in the south part of utah county so it is pretty close.

Fairview is a great place to ride and isn't too far from Springville. There are generally 3 parking lots to take off from; below are the GPS marks from Google Earth:
1 - Scofield turnoff - 39.679029,-111.313028
2 - Big Drift - 39.615446,-111.302902
3 - Miller's Flat - 39.582263,-111.252154

I also live in springville and ride fairview ALOT !!! As you come into town there is 2 gas stations. you turn there (between them) and take the road up the canyon and unload at 9000 feet or 10000 feet depending on which parking lot you chose. That is the beauty of Fairview. no road riding to get to the good stuff. you unload on top of the mountain! Look me up when the snow starts flying and maybe we can get together a time or 2. But I will warn you, we ride some trees, and don't hill climb a ton. We tend to stay far away from avalanche territory. But there is some Great climbing up there. and some great boondocking.

I have heard Monte is "The place to ride"! Not sure where I got that info though...:face-icon-small-win

Park City

how's the riding out of park city, utah? coming from the midwest and we are not familiar with utah and the riding areas. If there's a good place/cabin/house to rent, let me know. Most of our riding is in the shutes and goat trails, finding powder to play in. We are not much into the high marking.

Most of our riding has been at Togwotee, Snowy Range and West Yellowstone. All of these areas suit our needs, we just want to explore to new areas.

thanks

In-Sight of Riding

Please PM me if you can help a fellow-rider out. We are thinking about trying the Utah area, but not sure if we would need to trailer daily to find new riding areas. Any information about the Utah riding would be great.

Please help me.

Thanks.

There's some spots in park city to rent and ride but small areas, you my find some better stuff in and around timberlakes, woodland, kamas, oakley, all only 20 to 30 minutes from park city. If you stay in Park city there are numerous spot to trailer and ride from anywhere from 20 minutes to 1hr's drive in any direction.

Woodland/Wolf Creek, Soapstone, Daniels summit, strawberry river, just a few of the spots to head from PC.

But truth be told, there is really no reason to come any further then Colorado. It's just all downhill from there. That's were the real riding is. Look up PJisamunkichinhunter(sp??)
he would love to show some midwesterners around Nor Co's finest areas.
