Refills

Yeah I want to Give mine a Pull and set mine off also, I have had mine over 2 years and the last couple of seasons have been very Bad AVY danger. So if anyone finds out where to get new canisters and Trigger that would be Helpful..

This fall the show special for a Yellow canister & trigger exchange was $25.00. We will be extending that special.
The Yellow canisters are made in Canada. The black canisters are made in Europe.
The black canister & trigger exchange show special was $50.00.
The Black canister exchange is now $75.00. You exchange your empty black canister & trigger for a new Yellow canister & trigger.
If anyone has any questions please call 403-823-9977. Don't PM.

I want a spare canister and trigger to carry in case mine gets set off accidently..but hard to throw away 150 plus shipping plus core charges just to have a spare...any decent prices to buy spares?.....

I bought an abs bag last year,I did the test pull, and when I tried to send the canister back, they said they couldn't use it because they had changed cylinder types and no longer used the silver ones.Kinda chapped me as you are supposed to get a refund after the test fire.

You must of bought some pretty old stock, I hope you got a good deal. The silver canister are not refillable from what I understand. A yellow Canister and trigger will be 150.00 and then 25.00 to have them exchanged.

Give the guys at SnowBigDeal.com a call. They have everything ABS related. Plus they have free shipping. Plus they probably know more about airbags than anybody else out there. You can also weigh the canister to see if it is still full if you don't want to deploy it and spend the money for a new one. The weight is stamped on the side of the canister and is measured in grams. So find your local dope dealer for post office to weigh it for you. SnowBigDeals phone # is 1-877-766-9244.

Unfortunately, the ABS canisters in the U.S. are still $150. KLIM and ABS are in charge of the canisters in the US, and they still charge the full amount for a refilled canister.

If you have an empty yellow canister & expired trigger, you can exchange it for $50 off the price of the new canister & trigger.

I really wish they would come down in price too.

PM me with any questions

WTF is up with Klim/ABS, why in the world would we have to pay the ridiculous prices here. I've heard anywhere from 25-50 in Ca and 150 is robbery.

It all has to do with the dynamics between ABS and KLIM. I would point the finger at ABS just as much as at KLIM.
ABS makes great product, but they are a royal pain to deal with from a dealership/distributor point of view.

Gram Scale

FWIW, I carry a portable 600 gram scale identical to this one with my spare cannister and trigger for my ABS system:

http://www.oldwillknottscales.com/proscale-600-luxe.aspx

Each time I install the cannister it is weighed and matched to the number on the sticker to make sure it's full and not lost any of it's charge. I choose to carry two cannisters and two triggers in a shaving kit bag with my gear so if I have to deploy while on an extended trip, I have a spare cannister for riding the next day. Stay safe, guys. Be sure to take an avy course every couple of years and practice what you learn including the use of GOOD JUDGEMENT.

Hey guys. I got a abs pack for christmas. Test fired it last night. Just wondering if you can screw the canister off again to weigh it after it has been put on. Just ordered a spair canister from snow big deal. Heading west next saturday so I hope it shows up by then.

Yes, you can remove the canister after it has been installed. I recommend weighing your canister once per year.
Your canister will ship via UPS Ground on Monday from Mt. Pleasant, UT. It should make it to you by Saturday.
