Best Pistons for the Pro???

Ok, I've read a lot on here about all of the forged piston upgrades available for the Pro 800 (stock bore, NON fix-it-kit style), and my opinion is that a forged piston is not the best choice for a sled, automotive use...maybe, sled...not so much. So that being said, who out there makes the best CAST pistons for the Pro 800? And does anybody make a hypereutectic piston for the Pro (the best of both worlds)?:gossip:

The wosner pistons that rkt uses with his specs are probably the best pistons to date that I have used on the cfi engine he has direct replacement pistons for your application I have used them in stock engines and modified engines hold up great they work really well paired up with his head, it seems to make the cfi engine wake up a lot especially in low and mid I would suggest using a fuel controller the pros are really lean on mapping with stock head you will be ok without a controller but I have found fuel controller is a really good thing to have even on a stock sled just my .02

Sooo...should I just tell you to call carls? yeah I know..you want stock..but your sled is to tricked out to stay stock..besides...with all the money you make..jacks stuff will be pocket change for ya..bwahahahaha...

Uhhhmmm, Mike, you seem to be misled somewhere.....

I think Terra alps stole Northstars idea on that type of cast piston. Buy American.:face-icon-small-coo But I love Canada. Anywho, could someone smarter than me explain a hypereutectic piston please.

It's a cast piston that is saturated with silica.. I think that is what is in them anyways. Its done while it is still a liquid.

After talking to sealed power (they own federal mogul) I found out the new forged pistons don't have the swelling problems from heat because of the silica. But the biggest problem is the cylinder skirts so replacing the piston will help with collapsing I think its a band aid I think Indy Dan has the fix

Kits with longer pistons and shims would help a lot, but long rod kits would be the best for skirt issues.
