You can get the post for around 170.00:beer;
I also just grabbed an 09 M8sp, here is the list of stuff Ive done.

SLP single pipe setup
SLP clutching
AMP 2" riser
AMP gauge relocation (venting)
Side panel vents
2010 Cat seat
BDX Headlight delete
BDX steering post support

Look up frosty's name on here and review his threads. Lots of good info on the o9 M8 topic.:beer;

The SLP pipe set up works great. Depending on where you ride you may have to drop weight to keep your RPM's where they need to be. At 8-10K I went from 73grams stock to 70grams. I'm going to try a CPC secondary clutch set up this year.

How do you like your AMP gauge relocation? They look trick and I was thinking about getting one for this year...but are they really worth the $$$?

ive got a friend that bought a kit from amp head clutching and regulater and it really seems to work and does not require a box to run its really a sweet deal you might want to check it out

i just picked up an 09 m8 sp demo and have read a few posts on here, and decided to do as follows;
slp pipe kit
new orange/ black primary spring
cutler adjustable weights
stock secondary w/ the stock orange spring, and a bdx 40/36 helix w/a shift asist diamond s hood and boss seat
side and shock tower vents
3 float shock extra chambers
and i am toying w/ gearing down to a 55/65 and the bigger bearing in the dd.
i figure the set up should run right w/ the 2010.

any opinions out there on this set up????good or bad, let er rip.......mm

I would not put on the adjustable post. My bro snaped one off last year and mine is real sloppy after just one season. Id get a shift assist and some venting, make sure your clutches are lined up and let her rip. These sleds to great stock. Boss seat is always nice.

I would throw some slp or RKT porting in there as well. The porting really wakes up the M8.

09 m8

In my testing last year you will need to also port to be able to Stay with the new 2010 M8.

This would be my recommendations in order.

Boss seat -5lb
Knee pads
Side Vents
Orange white primary
SP air Box -8lb
Speedwerx pipe Y and a good can
RKT head
Porting if you port you need fuel control box
HCR skies
Black diamond light weight suspension kit. -10lb
Remove plastic shims in secondary and replace with shift assist.
BDX light weight Diamond drive -8lb
BDX light weight break -2lb

I've got the AMP guage cage and alot of heat pours out of there.

If it can save me a couple belts it's paid for.

thanks alot for the info guys, and i read up on the adjustable riser and read what you guys said and i dont think ill get one of them now, and the boss seat is on the way. and i think ill try some venting and a pipe kit and clutching

I do have the telescopic post and don't seem to have much play in it yet. I put the large intake kit, y-pipe, kept the stock pipe, mbrp can, boysen reeds, and cpc adj. weights. I have the new m series seat coming. I am thinking of porting and polishing with some new heads and maybe a controller. What is the best combination to go with. I ride basically in 7000 ft+.
