Best Methods for 2up riding to get the goods??

ghosty

Sonora pass is about the only ghost ride spot we have in the sierras. Makes ya little nervous pushin your new sled over the brink!!

We try to do this if we can

But if its too steep we'll usually do the side by side. Which is always fun :)

No towing 5 miles with some 10 foot long nylon tie down straps this year though. Seriously need to get a wakeboard rope that has some give for the times you get slack in the line.............oh wait I have a sled now so if anything I'll be towing other people. Screw it they can buy their own d@mn wakeboard rope

What about GHOSTRIDING ?

I've yet to be to a place where I'm comfortable ghostriding my sled. Well, on purpose anyways LOL.

I quickly found out last year that if the terrain will let you, ghostriding is hands down the way to go. Sooooooo much easier. Unfortunately I've yet to find too many spots around here that it's safe to do. That first time, rolling my almost new 2010 M8 off the edge was pretty nerve racking.

I gotta get in on this. Where i'm from there is no groomed trails so often the fsr gets bumpy as hell. its WAY easier to absorb bumps if yer standing so i like the side by side (tandem) technique. If you got two good sledders riding tandem i like to stand left foot forward on the throttle side. This lets you hang right out if you need to and also opens up a bit more room around the mountain bar. Its a little awkward at first but once you get used to it you can double shred some pretty good stuff.

If you're taking your girlfriend out for the first time i would go with the No Hands, Back Massage Technique.... at least until she is used to the whole sledding scene....

Even better.... buy her an m8 and only double when you are doing Noboard laps.

for the trail ride in sitting princess(passenger in front) works best. as soon as your off trail one guy on each running board shoulder to shoulder. driver controls throttle, passenger does brake and one hand each on the mtn bar. idea with shoulder to shoulder is if one guy leans the other should follow, or if thier not leaning you give them a shoulder shove.

watch this snowmoboard video, half way through there's some sweet tandem techniques.

This is the way we do it too, in the deep stuff anyway.
So much power on both sides to toss the sled around, easier to keep the sled balanced sidehilling also.
Tandem is such a fun challenge, always gets the "I really dont want to get stuck right now" butterflies going.

A good tandem buddy and you can go anywhere usually laughing your *** off. Good times.

Side by side almost always

It takes a bit of practice & teamwork but shoulder to shoulder is the way to go. We even do little jumps 2 up. Use a snowboard rack & deliberate throttle.

I like the tow method, especially when your towing someone that doesn't own a sled. Makes them buy one the following year when their arms are rubber at the end of the day.
