Best Lodging in Revelstoke for sledders?

Hey Guys, We are starting plans for a trip to Revy over the new years. Trying to get things started now. I have never been to Revelstoke, but it does look awesome! I was curious as to the best places to stay for snowmobilers. Looking online, seems like a lot of options. Any input would be great. Also I would assume that over new years would be a fun time with good snow. Is the snow good by then most years? Thanks in advance!

Last year we stayed at the Best Western....nice new hotel, very comfortable, continental B-fast was actually quite good, rates were reasonable, parking was adequate, washer/dryer on site....I'd stay there again.

My favorite place to stay in Revy is the Days Inn,it's clean and comfortable very Sledder friendly and have a great Sledder rate and includes a free breakfast and is about a minute walk away from Zalas....so there's your night taken care of too, excellent food and the best pizza and entertainment in Revy for sure!
I am now craving pizza....lol and a beer!

definately would do the new best western again. have enjoyed peaks lodge as well.... as long as you 're in the lodge and not the motel part. also liked the hillcrest........ guess its what you want for your bux.

best western: new, very comfy and ample parking for bigger units.
peaks: allright place to stay, decent food, but you have access to boulder right from the lodge. no trailering sled; unless you do area 51 or sumptin.

hillcrest: i have to admit this was easily the best food i've had in revelstoke..... zala's included. sweet place, but steeper on the money front, but worth it in my opinion.

Glacier House

We had a great time at Glacier House. Alex and his crew were very attentive.

Sledjunky: What was your experience?

I have stayed at Glacier house before and it was nice... especially getting to sled right from your own cabin. The things I didn't care so much for was the limited menu, tight parking and steep rates. Otherwise it was nice, I would stay there again if I didn't want to deal with trailering.

The last 2 times I have been to Revy however, I have stayed at the Days Inn... only a 3 minute drive from the snow park and within stumbling distance of Zalas pizza house and a 3 minute walk to Dennys, Mcdonalds, or the gas station. Rates are good (ask for the sledders discount) and it is a pretty new facility with ample parking with security cameras.

I would more than likely book my next stay with them.

I would not suggest The Glacier House to any of my friends. The food is terrible - when you go down for dinner the salad bar is slim pickens (not exaggerating its bad). Best bring a sandwich cuz your waiting a long time before your cold dinner shows up. They don't provide enough parking so getting around by sled is a pain in the *** and impossible if you need to leave the resort by car. I have stayed there the last two years and the service keeps getting worse, but the cost for accommodation seams to be going up from expensive. In fact this past winter a large group of us stayed there and they nickel and dimed us to death. Our entire group were all in agreement, we do not want to stay at the Glacier House again so were moving down the road to the Peaks Lodge.

Days Inn would be my first choice. Parking is good, even with a trailer, cheap, breakfast included and right next to Zalas. 2nd would be Hillcrest. Never bothered staying anywhere else. overall Days Inn in Revy is my fave hotel in the world I think, Zalas may play a big role in it being #1 tho. lol. - Cody

Thought you were a Best Western guy?

I tried the new best western and it was great. Huge outdoor hot tubs that you can see boulder from and shuttles downtown. Very nice.

Without a doubt Peaks lodge is my favourite place to stay. Not only are the owners the friendliest; but they are always there on site making sure your riding experience is the best it can be, i have nothing but great things from everyone at Peaks! Love it there, and you cannot beet the trail up the mountain that connects right to the mountain, no need to trailer.

Would not hesitate one bit, Peaks is the way to go.
