Best Large Gear Bag?

bought a huge Arctic Cat bag early 90's for $35

The purple green colors are pretty gay, but still holding together very well.
The new one's look cool, but there's many many things I would drop $200 on before a duffle bag.

I have the Ogio 980's... use them for luggage as well.

One down side to the OGIO 9800 that experinced is that the bag itself chews up a lot of the checked bag 50 Lb limit... (70 in buisiness/first). The second is that the rounded top does not max the useable size 34" x 16" x 15"

I've got the Klim on order for this season.
36" x 18" x 18".

Mtn Horse Unfortunately the Klim bag weighs just as much as the 9800's.... I checked one the entire trade show season. At one point I actually knew I would not make the 50 lb limit so I packed like I normally would, not busting the zippers, but not empty either. Got 73 lbs in er and the airport ladt made me take 3 out because she said they cant lift over 70 lol

Yea... I hear ya... ALL of the heavy duty roller gear bags with any space for gear... tip the scales for checked baggage.... Ouch... pay for a 50 lb'er... punished with fees for a 70!!

I use my Ogio 9900 as a gear bag and for travel all the time. Primary clutch, two front shocks, a helmet, and a bunch of clothing(Stuffed full of clothing) weighs 70lbs. I had to remove some of my dirty laundry to actually make under 70lbs.

Fly Southwest and you can check 3 bags weighing 50lbs for free. :D

Also have the new HMK bag and very impressed with it as well. It's my main gear bag now since I use the Ogio for traveling.

I have an extra brand new Klim kodiak if anyone needs one in western canada drop me a pm.

I like my OGIO. I can fit everything in there. Sometimes I forget where I put my beacons and extra goggles because it's such a very well organized and well thought out bag. Durable too.

No reason to buy a new one for me.

Is that Ogio 9800 the same one that Motorfist is selling? It's a looker. (EDIT---Just saw MF guy's post)

I have a big Klim duffel bag (can't remember which model name it is), but my bad is so farookin heavy when it's full, I'd prefer one with wheels.

No, Scott. My bag is more of a duffel style. It does have a handle and wheels and plenty of room/pockets. Mine is all black

I wasn't neccessarily asking if you have the 9800. I was asking of the 9800 is the Motorfist bag. But my question was answered long before I read the above posts.

I have not been happy at all with my EVS bag at all. Zippers were toast after 4 rides.
