Best Large Gear Bag?

Need a new gear for all my sledding stuff... Like the rollers but they aren't totally necessary. Always traveling so a tough gear bag is a must. Sometimes have to put wet gear in the bag for a 5+ hour ride home. Anyone have any experiences with these and what do you think of them? Any other options?

the MotorFist gear bag is a 9800 Ogio bag WITH some sled specific modfications.

AND it is has a 30 year warranty. No one else can get you that....

I use the big KLIM bag without the rollers on it. I can really stuff some stuff with'in the 3 big pockets and the side pocket. Helmet, numerous pairs of goggles, boots, jacket pants, extra clothes for ride home, ANYTHING. I usually even carry a spare helmet in there. But rollers would be nice because it gets pretty heavy with it full.

I have the Klim bag and a OGIO 9800.

The Klim is brand new and has not made a trip yet. Seems like a great bag, big and sturdy and looks good too. The Klim is a little more "open" on the inside where as the OGIO has a few more pockets / compartments.

The OGIO has been a great bag so far but I have not used it for sledding gear. Mine is used for special ops gear and I could not be happier. Very well built, nice compartments, and it takes a beating! Everything stays organized and is accessible and easy to get too.

I would have purchased another OGIO for sledding gear but thought I should try something else, hence the Klim bag. I wish I had more info or time with the Klim but like I said I just got mine, so time will tell.

In the past I have used the large Hockey bags and yes they work and yes they are a little cheaper but I really like these large gear bags over the hockey bags. They seem to be built a little better and once you have a large wheeled bag, you'll wonder why the hell didn't I buy one sooner!!!

They also have more compartments / pockets than a normal hockey bag which is nice to keep things organized a little better. Instead of the giant bag and throw everything in and dig for it later, most everything can have it's own place. This proves to be very beneficial when your pissed off cause you cannot find one glove or that one pair of goggles.

Honestly, I think either one of these bags you'll probably serve you well and you would be happy.

If you want any specific pics or measurements, from either bag, let me know.

i got that exact Fly Racing bag about a month ago, it has a lot of storage for everything i bring along. I pack like a boy scout as well, so i bring a TON of extra gear with me, and it can accomidate all that and then some.

I looked at the Klim bag as well, but I just liked the "much" lower price of the Fly.

All of them are good bags and have some great features.

I have the Ogio, and 1 thing I really like about it over the others is the stiff sides...this gives it the ability to stand up on end without collapsing and falling over (which sucks in a rainy/muddy parking lot!!).

Bottom line for me is I wheel my bag around a lot, and like to be able to stand it up (like when opening a door or tailgate with my other hand full) and not have it fall over.

is the Ogio water proof, so it can sit in the bed of the pickup on the ride home and not get soaked?

i used to use a very large duffle bag and throw everything in there. then i started using this...works awesome, it's water proof, and you can stand on the lid and put your boots on and off...

Do the same with a couple plastic bags for the really soiled items.:face-icon-small-blu

i have a couple of the yamaha gear bags that are made by fxr. huge bags that hold everything with room to spare. they seem to be made of real heavy nylon.
