Anyone use a Hotpot or a Hotdogger on their sled ?

What is your best recipe ?

I usually just do 'lil smokies, brats, or deer sausage or something like that. Usually just a snack for the whole group to tide us over till supper. Just looking for some better ideas !!

Thanks,
Boone

wow some real gourmet's here..............since when is a hot pocket a recipe?

food

we like to cook up some Salmon. cook it part way in the barbeque wrap it in parchment paper, then wrap it in foil ready for the dogger. also cook up flank steak rare, do as above haven't had any complaints .

Costco has some pre-made fajita meat (chicken or beef) that comes in bags in the refrigerated section. Its great by itself, but you can add onions, peppers, mushrooms, in one of those oven foil pouches. We even throw a few tortillas in foil and make a legit fajita. Good stuff.

The foil oven bags make the possibilities endless. A while back I remember someone (a lady) in MT writing a book called "muff pot cooking" or something like that. She even donated to SAWS with every sale. Might give it a search. Good luck. EW

There's hope

Us 4 stroke guys get hosed again...

Fear not CROW you 4-stroke guys have the best option I saw it on a video, Brad Story had an adapter for a hibatchi on the back of his propane powered apex(?) so if you have a large sum of disposable income you could be grilling up some of the best (most expensive) dogs on the mtn. :D

hahaha I remember someone else talking about that. Hey check out my light weight propane turbo beast. Just let me whip out my 20lb grill from my pack and fire up some dogs!

Still FN sweet though!

I had pics of a skidoo at haydays that had twin mixers hooked to the tunnel and somehow got power from the track!!but I cant find them now

diced bella mushrooms
1 pound of pinched cooked jimmy dean hot sausage
1 can of beef broth
1/2 cup of walla walla sweet oinions cut in quarters
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cayene pepper
1/4 cup flour
1/4 stick of butter

stir all together in a bowl. (Make sure you pre cooked the Jimmy Dean) Line your muff pot with two layers of good foil, poor in mixed ingredients and ride. Stir now and then. The more flour you add, the thicker your little treat becomes. Put some Club original crackers in your back pack and wrap with a bit of bubble wrap.

There you go, good chit man...
