Best Flat Light Goggles

I am looking to buy a new set of goggles for flat light conditions and was wondering what opinions were out there about what brand and lens color works the best. I have heard good things about Spy and I am also looking at Oakley Crowbars. I know that yellow works well but there are lots of new lens colors out there. I live and ride in southcentral Alaska so we have lots of cloudy days and not alot of light. Please give me your $.02 worth.

I like the persimmon lenses for showing contour. In really poor light the Oakley's w\high intensity yellow lenses work well. Just make sure you have a second pair if the sun comes out even a little.

Blue:) Blue is the best for low light conditions. Does not matter what kind of goggle u have. You can probably get a blue lens for what u have. I also like blue when it is sunny, but some people think its to bright. Scott also used to make a purple lens that worked well in low light flat contions. Cannot find the purple these days. Kevan;)

I also ride in southcentral Ak. I am a big fan of Oakley. the best lens color I have found is the High Intensity Yellow. It is only available in a couple frames, but I think the crowbar is one. I have tried lots of different stuff, but nothing compares to these in my opinion.

Laserlite Gold from Uvex, this stuff works best, better than blue.

This orange-ish color is the one I like in my ProVue goggles in flat light. Blue works OK too, but this one really helps with definition.

If you can find any of the mentioned colored lens' in Polarized that will also help. Reducing snow glare is a must! Those UV rays even make it through the clouds ;)

Most of the time I use my spy goggles with a bronze color lense.
But I like to use yellow lenses with flat light also.

I like my Scotts with the Blue lens, or just the plain old clear. Blue seems to work good in all conditions. Yellow is good to, I just don't like it. When it gets sunny, it gets to bright for me. Don't get amber though, when its dark you cant see $hit.

persoanlly use the the spy's with either the rose or persimmon(orange). they work great for me.

spy with rose lenses

Tried a pair of spy goggles with rose lenses yesterday and thought they were far better than my blue scott goggles. I really liked the rose! I usually wear my arnette sunglasses with polarized lenses and they actually let me see the bumps pretty decent even though shaded (as long as its not totally dark).

I use the High Intensity Yellow as well and like it. I also use the persimion lense.

I like the pro vue snap tint system, real easy to change colors, On the real dry powder days I have had a little get in between the lenses, it is easy to clean out though.

Hey XXL. Do the provue fog much. It looked like the Colored lens might cover some of the vent holes on the dbl lens. I am wanting to try these and need info. Thanks, Roger
