hey there guys, seeing as summer is almost with us and my mind is starting to think about possible upgrades to the sled, what are your top upgrades and the reasons behind them?

"Best Bang for the Buck" is kind of a broad statement.

Are worried about voiding the warranty?

How much money you want to spend?

Without a doubt, a Silber turbo is a crazy fun mod at a great price. I've got 1300 miles on mine this year so far. Zbroz A arms and Exit shocks are also a must on my sleds. The only other performance mod I add is gas!

Jesus 1,300 miles this season? Damn dude

I have to agree add a turbo. Whether you go with Boondocker or silber it sounds like they both are ripping! I love my sidekick kit it made this season so much more Fun! I hope this doesn't turn into another heated debate on which one is better. Both run good both people are happy with its all personal preference.

Best bang for the buck? Can't put a price on it, ditch the a arms before it wrecks a day of riding. Next mod has to be exhaust, ditch the 20 lb suitcase. After that work on your skills and save your money to go on more trips because these sleds stock will want to make you ride more :)

Excellent. Sounds truly pull and go!

yeah, got rid of the suitcase heading to the first ride in valemount.... got a TSS mountain can. coming off a BD turbo dragon @ 10lbs; i do miss the raw power, but as stated before, these new engines do put a smile on your face.

i was throwing around the idea of suspension all around (fronts and skid).... as the old iron had X1's, and that was a big difference.

just interested to see what has been a 'typical' upgrade path, seeing as the new motors seem to be at least more reliable than the old CFI-4's.

SLP pipe, can and clutching. Sled rips, came off a turbo pro and much prefer the AXYS w/I turbo. Motor is so crisp and responsive, handles like a dream!!

I wouldn't say best bang for the buck is a turbo or pricy shocks. I agree that a turbo is pure bliss and nothing better than the Exit shocks if you ask me. My Pro had both and they were great.

To me...best bang for the buck would be the stage 2 SLP kit with pipe/can and clutching. That is around $800 and really wakes up these sleds.

I have the clicker WE shocks and they are better than the regular coil overs, but they need help. I'm not sure if I'm doing a revalve/spring change or drop the money on the Exits. I guess if we are still on best bang for the buck someone might chime in with shock revalve jobs.

One other nice item is the heated brake levers. I haven't done it yet but a buddy has it and I really like the two/three finger pull on the lever. Heated keeps ice buildup off (not to heat your two fingers!).

Slp pipe and carls clutching was nice. Carls shock revalve was wonderful. Bog hits and wooped out trails are much better

The K-Mod 37" front end-
Gives the sled an overall better feeling of control and "flickability is vastly improved- and HUGE bonus is.. you get to ditch them factory lower arms-and retain your stock shock with no mods needed.
1187 miles so far this year on the 16 Axys and not one drawback from this Kit

Now that's a huge bang for the buck on the Axys right there.:face-icon-small-coo

Only one ride on my current setup, but the BMP pipe with DTR PCV is a home run at this early stage!:face-icon-small-ton

Raptor Triple Rate Springs for that plush, "Old Man Ride" = around $280
Carl's Clutch Kit loads the motor better and improves mid range pull. = around $250
SLP silencer 11 pound weight reduction and reasonably quiet. = around $200
My sled rips with this set up. I rode it in stock form for 300 miles or so then added the above mods. Quite a bit of difference for not a lot of money imo.

Tell me more about these Raptor Triple Rate Springs . .
Did you do these on both ski and track shocks?
What is the part #?
Where do you get them?
Can you post a link to a supplier?

I went that route on the Raptor TRS springs, in late December, and after 2-3 rides went and ordered the heaver rear spring-. Made a huge difference in ride height and overall made the rear not as weak/
Not dressed I weigh 210 so I thought the softer spring would be the way to go.. but sure like the heaver spring better now.... it doesn't bottom as easy and allows better rider input for me
Only the rear/rear spring changes if you order a heaver spring kit- all others stay the same... I have a post on here and pic's from eariler this year when I did the change.

It is a good mod and well worth the small investment.
