……..
i know, i have one from my ‘17 sks.
reason i asked is because i just pressed avid anti ratchets onto that shaft and the positioning of them looks different than what sheetmetal has.
my measurements are dead on to the avid instuctions/measurements.
i am curious why the difference; drivers (powder freaks maybe), shaft year, etc...

Picture?

question:

does these rail cuts for an anti-stab look right?

cut distance from cross shaft mount hole is 1/2".

cuts are square to tip up in rail.

the hyfax is not tapered yet

it seems to me like the bottom of the rail is protruding too much.

I am thinking the cut needs to be more perpendicular??

Bevel it back (mostly hyfax and a little aluminum) and smooth it out.

Should be good.

final product. I ended up radiusing both profiles of the rails, then matching and contouring the hyfax. don't think i will have any issues. after all is said and done, i don't even know if i needed to trim the rails and run an anti-stab. it appears there would have been at least 1/8-3/16" clearance, if not more, between the rail tips and the extroverts. ??‍♂️

Wonder if you could trim them back a little and re install the front cap
