Bent Tunnel Pics

Is this something that is happening from a bad tail landing or is it from a blow on the front. Thanks.

Frenchy, this from an impact in the front. The tunnels are so thin that the rear suspension keeps going when the impact happens. the weak point is in these pictures. Polaris knew this as you see they tried to address with the .090 fishplate. Again, IMHO making the vertical side of the tunnel helps with a straight on impact, but there is any lateral movement at all the bumpers are going to want to come around and meet, if that makes sense.

I have spoken to FTX and they said they would be glad to help me out on fabricating up something that is simple to install, will be cheaper than a belt and covers both planes, vertical and horizontal. Thanks to this forum!!!!

I've talked with Mike Vanamburg this winter, he's coming up with a fix for this also. Should be a quality product.

Just tell him to watch Snowest, where a community of innovators are hard at work!

Good question. The pics of mine are a '12. I am replacing the bulkhead/tunnel with a new '13. Side by side the running board are the only diff that you can see at first glance. Now, there may very well be details that might be different. (Rivet location, extra hole here and there, etc.) but "big picture" they appear to be the same. So, the '11 remains to be compared, but I were a bettin' man, I would say all three years could be considered the same?

Here is the outcome. I haven't installed the mag side yet. The PTO side overlays over the existing plate and goes to about the center line of the driveshaft and jackshaft. The mag side replaces the OEM plate. Mine wasn't bent and I didn't feel like ungluing my chaincase just to fix something that wasn't broke.

Sorry about the rotation. I'm having a heck of a time uploading pictures to SnoWest with my new Mac... They show up correctly rotated for me:face-icon-small-con

Who did you get this from??? I would like to order one.

Thanks
Jett

KMOD and Fire-n-ice teamed up on them. You can buy them from Fire-n-ice. They have rear gussets as well.
