Is anyone else having trouble bending timbersled spindles? I bent 3 this weekend on my pro. I hit a stump and understand why that one bent but the other two I have not a clue. The trail was teally rough but I didnt think it was enough to bend them. Anyone else find these spindles a bit weak?

mine so far have held up well..i jammed a ski under shore ice , hit a stump side glancing hard, and cradling the odd small tree.

Do you have the old style spindles or the new version they came out with a few years back..??

I am not sure if there the new ones or not. Its actaully timbersleds old demo sled. How can I tell?

Can you post a pic of them? Are the the tubular or the machined version? I had the first version of their machined spindles and they bent really easy due to them removing to much material down the sides in an effort to save weight. They replaced both spindles with version 2 for free, and I have not had any more problems with them. If you have the type with the the extra material removed (like the one on the right in the first pic), call Timbersled and tell them they are bent.

Here's a side by side of the 1 & 2nd gen/version of their spindles, you can see the difference easily:

The right spindle after slamming it down from a sidehill on a frozen clump of dirt or something:

The left, which doesn't appear to be bent, but it was.

Thanks for the pics I have the older style and they bent just like yours. 3 spindles in 3 days was kinda unacceptable to me lol. I will be sure to call them tom and see if they will send me some new ones...hopefully free of charge :)
