bent pro rmk rails anyone

hey took a hill today catwalked down into another and bent both rails one bad and one not so bad, anyone else, did this same thing with my iq on same hill and she held up.

ps looking for new rails any info would help
are the assaults the same as the pro(i hope not)
and would a 2010 rail fit the 2012s

only want to do this once

it is a 155 incher
thanks in advance

My Pro bent it's rails. (it was TreeBoss' sled when he bent them). Took a pretty good hit though. He swapped out a 2010 Dragon's complete rear skid for a few rides. Bolted right in, just had different threads for the bolts. Currently, it has 2011 Assault rails in it, with the stock Pro suspension. The only difference is the Assault rails are tipped up more in the front. Works just fine. I hope this helps and you can understand what I'm talking about, sometimes I just ramble on.

did polaris change from 11 to 12 (both have coil over) all i want to do is pull one rail at a time, is that possible? would love to put assault rails in if they will fit. im wondering about the shock pressure etc. and was thinking of putting some cross rail supports in it, iceage sells kit for 350 i wonder what poo wants.
im waiting for video from buddy i dont think it was that big of a hit but we will see , he just laughs and asks if the front end is ever on the ground
hes thinking of buying one but now hes scared(dont blame him)
300 miles on it

Assault rails will work, I have those on my Pro right now. For the 155 in rails, the 11 and 12's are identical. The 163 rails are straight on the 2012 and on the 11's the ends are tipped up.

As for changing the rails one at a time, I would assume that it would work, but every time I've changed rails and what not I had the entire rear skid out. I had to pull it anyway so just changed them while it was out.

Another option: The route I went when I bent the rails on my 163 Pro, I ordered Iceage rails through Michelle(freeagent) at Oregon Trail Sports. $330 SHIPPED to my door. Not only are they cheaper that stock rails, but the are supposed to be stronger. They bolt right in(you need to switch to 8" rear wheels though).

I did the same with my 163 only I got mine straight from iceage.

Easiest to just pull the skid bolt your rails supports and wheels together and stuff 'er in the track.

just pull the four bolts and pull skid out that is the easiest way?
never had to pull skid out looks easy enough,

Yep, it's that easy. Now when you go to put it back in, loosen the adjuster bolts on the rear axle all the way up. Lay the sled on its side, don't try to put it in with the sled hanging in the air. Line up and install one of the front bolts. Flip the sled over and install the other front bolt. now hook a rachet strap to the skid near the front and run it up around the rear shaft and back down to the skid. Use the rachet to suck the rear shaft forward to line up the rear bolt and install. Flip sled over one more time and do the same to line up the other rear bolt. Really very simple.

why put assault rails in an RMK?

My assault rails are bent. hell, everything in my rear suspenion is bent... Not kidding either.

My plan is just ride it the way it is untill i find a good deal on an Ez-ryde and rmk track.

But if i was you, i would just order ice age rails, have them powdercoated, pull your skid, install. Done in 2-3 hours easy. Faster if you know what you are doing and have good tools.

pulled skid and wow bent sideways, up and down , holy crap im going back to see what i landed on, if i didnt land on something these rails are pieces of sh$$. rode polaris all my life (seventh sled) im only 40 , never had any issues like these, was going to take old ones to shop to straighten them in case im out west and have another "accident" but these are beyond that

hey polaris if your looking ill take a refund on these even have a video of it
totally weak

ice age a coming hope they work

bent

i somehow? bent my 163s slightly so i bought some second had from a buddy in the dark and noticed the next dy that they were bent too. so i drove over to ice age and bought some new ones with 9 inch wheels now it looks sharp.
but neither of us recall hitting anything so? what a crappy stock rail

my rear suspension is beyong repair. like...rails won't fix it.. It looks like a 3 year old worn out race sled skid. My ez-ryde wasn't half as bad as this thing is and it spent like 2-3 years going up RMSHA hills. :face-icon-small-sho

Go with Iceage!!! Those rails are top quality & built to last. The look way better then stock and cheaper too.

Did the same thing to mine. Catwalked into some bumps, and since there were only one adjust strap in front of the skid it made the skid to twist and bend. Got it on covered on warranty by my dealer. Replaced both rails and installed another adjuster strap so it would put all the force on one point. Also did a reinforcement on the rails to keep them from bending again.
