Bent Nytro subframe, CALL YAMAHA!!!!!

Make sure it's actually the sub frame that is bent and not the a-arms. In some cases it's just the a-arms in which case you can bend them back with a pry bar. You need to pull the measuring tape out and take some measurements.

Well my left ski is sittin 1.5 inches behind the right one....never noticed it until tonight. The only thing I have hit are trail moguels and lots of fresh POW....man my skies are hardly ever on the ground. I looked at it over and over and I cant even see whats bent....already called my dealer. Not sure how long its been like this but the POW is callin my name so off I go tomorrow:face-icon-small-dis

Bent a-arms on these things are extremely hard to see. Before pulling the sub frame off, pull the a-arms and compare them side to side on a flat surface.

Yup something is tweaked, hit nothing but pow aswell. Can't see myself taking it all apart, I think I will just tell my dealer and see what they are willing to do.

At first I thought that just my a arms were bent, until I put on my timbersled a arms and everything was way off. I continued to ride with the sub-frame tweaked for 300 miles and nothing got any worse, did not break a shock either. I just replaced my sub-frame this week, it came in last weekend. The reason mine bent was too much early season riding, I did bounce off quite few rocks. I even bent the spindle I hit a rock so hard. I hope I can avoid rocks for the rest of the winter.

I got my new front frame on Friday. I will comparing the two this week. Paul from Impulse told me where to reinforce the new frame. He has had good luck with it. I will show pictures when I complete the mod.

I can't even see where my sled is different on one side to the other. I believe that the one side (left) was manufactured slightly off. The lower left A arm seems to be the one that is out. If it is the subframe where do I look for the tweak? Or is it too small to see? Where the A arms mount there is no sign of any difference one side to the other. Looking straight down over the front end the lower left arm is obviously a 1/2" further back than the right side. Never even noticed until this thread.

Same with mine.. cant see any difference from one side to the other where the A-arms mount to the frame etc.. My one ski sits back quite abit... I did hit a tree but the bumber took all the impact and headlight etc...

If you look at where the stearing post mounts to the frame, you can see that it will be bent to on side or the other. Also when my frame was bent, the lower left arm went back and it pushed the lower right arm forward. I tried to straighten the frame by tweaking on the a arms with a pry bar, it just bent the a arms. Sometimes it is hard to tell if the a arms are bent, paint might not be chipped. If just one arm is off it might just be the a arm, not the frame. The only way I first found it was the frame was by putting on new timbersled a arms and everything was still way off, then I saw the stearing post mount was way off.

Where did you guys end up on this? Mine is bent and I don't remember hitting anything. Will Yamaha help and will it be easy?

I just received my Impulse turbo kit this morning :D The new sub frame will be going back on this week as well. My sub frame bent down by the back mount on the right lower A-arm, right there the tube curves, nice little crease.

I just picked my subframe and installed it today. My dealer gave it to me for $395 which was cool. Took about 3 hours to switch frames and luckily my a arms were not bent. With all of the plastic off it is a good time to change oil so I did that as well.
