Belt Question

Looking for a cheap end belt for a spare. I ended up picking up a Gates G force 45G4553. Has anyone ran this on their 850's? Was trying to save some money over a polaris belt for $230. If you've rabbit how many kms have you got out of it.

Thanks

We run them and also the 47C4572. My personal sled runs the 47C.
Longevity depends on if you break them in and that you don’t back bend them(Polaris belt holder)

The gates belts work good, but I can't brake them in probably I guess. I don't get more then 150 km out of them. 8' at sea level and 18' at 4000' in 3 weeks, it's kind of hard not to be full out.

I tried the AC and Gates belt on my last Axys. They definitely don't last as long. Clutching also loses R's quicker and you need to adjust the secondary. I know the Polaris belts are crazy expensive but they work better and last longer for me. I have 1100 miles on my original 850 belt.

I have ran the Carlile Ultimax XS809 for years. Cheap (~$100 on ebay) and has a 1 year no questions asked warranty on them which I have cashed in numerous times of the years. They do pull down the rpm a bit compared to a stock belt and are a bit wider so you have to adjust deflection and primary weight potentially.

Hopefully you didn’t buy a G. They don’t last very long.

I have been running a 45C4553 for a few hundred miles, seems fine. I did have some clutch slip under lower throttle in deep powder with Indy clutching. What makes you choose the 45C4572 over the 45C4553 @TRS ?

The 47C4572 is about .190” longer. It acts as a gear down if your center to center is at 11.5”.
If your center to center is 11.6”, as most 800 and 850 sleds are, it is the proper length belt. The stock belt and 45C4553 is short.
