Belt made a mess

I blew a belt at 95 mph on my o7 m1000, it ripped off some wires under the left foot well, now my back up beeper doesn't work and i need to know what else us in there? I also get a wrench light on when i put it in reverse... is this normal? Any help would be nice
 
Theres a cluster of wires running to the reverse servo motor and the reverse switch. It's pretty common for a belt to kill the alignment of the reverse switch. You also get the wrench light if you put it in reverse with a disconnected beeper. I'd enjoy the silence and deal with the wrench :)
 
I'd say you got off pretty easy for hitting a drift/ditch at 95 mph!!!!:D


LOL...no kidding. A M-sled at 95 will blow belts. The belt gets to the bottom of the secondary and has no place else to go....so what happens?
If you want to run over 80 very often I would gear taller.....and run the Cat belt. :beer;

I don't know if you noticed but that was two different peeps there. One blew an unknown belt going 95. the other blew a ultimax xs belt going into the ditch.
 
Yeah thanks for all the unhelpful comments, i know why the belt blew, i wanted to know what the wires are up there and it seems only one person even came close to answering that for me
 
eliminate the shifter motor

The easy fix to prevent that from happening again the next time you blow a belt (and you will blow another belt) is to replace all the reverse stuff in the foot well with a Billet reverse shifter. The billet shifter replaces the motor and gearbox on the '07-08 DDs and LOSES 2 POUNDS!! Simple and bullet proof. Replaces 2.1 pounds with a 1 ounce kit for only $25.
