Belt life

Hi, i have a stock 2017 pro rmk800 and i think i may have a clutch problem....
700 km on the first belt before the top of the belt delaminate, after 200 km the second belt seem to begin delaminate right at the cord.
These are polaris belt with proper break in.
On my last pro, my belt was lasting 2000 km no Problem
Can my deflection adjustement be a factor, or i also installed footwell plate(vent)?

How much km you do with your belt guys?

All my sleds I've ever owned 20 years sledding .. Mind you deep west coast mountain ridding never had a belt last any longer than 500 miles usually about 200-350 that's with giving it some cool down breaks when real deep .

Supper deep days .. Snow over hood pinned for several minutes ?? And you keep going you will fry any belt on any sled . ( yup any sled ) and any magical clutch formula .

Please don't even bother telling me different .

I can absolutely prove you wrong. Ask the boys that have riden with me in California, Oregon, BC, Montana, Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming.

Edit: have you ever burned a whole tank of fuel in less than 40 miles.

Is it a 2.6" track? I suspect it is and gearing down is the best way to extend the belt life. We feel it doubles the life from experience. We don't see the 3" track versions burning as many belts but also sometimes guys that ride the 3" go a bit slower and are not as aggressive.??

Only once :) 12 gal of fuel and 4lbs of NOS in 30 miles. 6ft of fresh, to the bar non stop. No belt damage. Good times!

oh yeah, the original topic..... you should / can get a lot more mileage out of them. Clutching, gearing, cooling is the key points. Eric
