Belt change

Hey quick question i just changed the belt on my sled using the "L" tool and after i slid the new belt on and spun the tool back out the clutch isnt closing back up and taking up the slack is that a bad thing? i was just checking it out as when i bought the sled it had a different clutch on there that would be a pain in the arse to change a belt out in the boonies so i thought id swap back the origional. Does it need to be rebuilt or will it spin back closed up when it starts to turn with motion?

Thx

It will tighten up on it's own. Just be cautious if you are loading it on a sled or deck and it hasn't tightened back up yet. It will self tighten in about 5-6 feet of running the sled. You could put it on a stand it it will tighten up that way too. It will likely screech a little.

get somone to lift the back of the sled, while you give it some light throttle then it will seat itself

when your losening the L tool on your secondary clutch rotate the belt as you back out the tool and it will help set your clutches with out the risk of messing up your belt
