Beaver Creek / Swan Flats

Dropped in at the state sheds 12/31. 18" untouched. We did find a stump. It was still great riding. There was absolutely NO base to the snow. It made for tough times even for the big sleds.
No slides seen or heard.

PERFECT! But don't tell anyone, I like ridding the untouched stuff myself. Rode there last Saturday.

if ur headin towards bear lake. go passed beaver mountain and beaver creek lodge youll go up a hill and wen u start going down the hill the nextt left is the state sheds u park there and go ride.

beaver creek lodge

anyone stay at beaver creek lodge and rent , whats it like? do they serve good food(steaks ect.) thx

We've ridden out west fo a few plus two years and went to BCL for the first time last year. We'er going twice this year and no where else. Infer what you will.

The food is great, the outfitting is top notch (both guides and sleds), if the rooms had dvd players in them it would be perfect (they do have satallite in room though).

Keep it on the down low though, I think Beaver Creek is a pretty well kept secret.

I guess since I was just there I should do my part to update the conditions: I'd call riding conditions good to aswome. All the cheap powder along the trails is gone, but you don't have to wander too far from the beaten path to find fresh snow (well, you have to wander a little further now since we were just there). The big open meadows tat get a lot of sun exposure are pretty set up and packed, but in the trees or at higher elevation we were in some stuff that was 2 or more feet deep.
