Beaver Creek lodge area riding

Thanks for the info. I am pumped somone could fill me in on good places to find fresh powder and good places to go in the area. I only wish I could be out there now and not a week from today.
Too bad i didnt know about this site before...I would have asked you guys if this is a good place. (beaver creek lodge) Anyone heard anything good? I just know I get to ride a 09 rev 800 in UT! Different than the 600 rev in MN!!

I've been to Beaver Creek Lodge 5 times during this and the past two seasons combined and I have one more trip in the books. Since I've been going out west I've ridden with 6 different outfitters in 4 different states Beaver Creek is buy far the best They rent good equipment, the guides will show you to whatever kind of terrain blows your hair back (if you have the skills to back up your requests), the terrain is as good as anywhere else out west, and except for saturday you will never see anyone except other Beaver Creek guests (if you are a good rider you won't see them either).

Brian is the owner, he does some guiding, kinda old man style from what I here. Shane in the primary guide- he's the one you want TRUST ME! Ask for him by name! He'll show ya the good stuff. I rode with Nate a little too and he's not half bad either. Their guide fee is steep at $325 a day (I think). but it is so worth it. I've been there a bunch of times and I still get turned around, with a guide you can 100% focus on having fun. Jarald and Vivian are EXCELLENT cooks to BTW.

I don't have any recomendations of places to check out I want to post on the internet...you know a good fisherman never...yeah. If you want to the advanced stuff just ask Shane where Adam likes to go. They will either guide you there or finger it on a map for you ... or maybe they will roll their eyes and say, "lets so how you do the first couple days".

Sounds like you'll have better snow than I had a couple weeks ago. It was insanely warm and the snow was getting pretty thin.

Hey, scout out "the wall" down stairs for me. There should be some blown up Cat Kid pics hangin on it

I have been to BCL every year for the past 4 from MN. Have also been to Togowtee and Idaho, BCL is a class outfit and far better then the others I have been to. The snow is great, the service is the best and there arent any other people. The riding within a mile of the lodge is top notch. We will be arriving on the 14th and riding for 4 days, cant wait.. Looks like the weather is gonna be snowy all week..

Joe.

Just got back from 3 days of riding from BCL. It is the 2nd time out west and it was awesome. The lodge was great, food was excellent, and riding was awesome. It was real tracked up right off the trail but made for some easy, yet fun big hill climbs (For me at least) to get used to the sled. Was lucky enough to have a local show me around the second day and that made the trip. He showed us a bunch of areas I wouldn't have known about without risking getting really lost. The deep stuff is all over in the trees and off the trail a bit. We were north of the lodge, in and around franklin basin, and the snow was not crazy deep but really good. Lots of all types of terrain to choose from. Was very impressed with the area. What a blast!!

Dude, look for two lost and drooling Norwegians who look like they've just entered the biggest toystore of their life:D

gregschelling: Pic's?

Can't wait for it to be Thursday so that we could get on the plane and come over

I am glad you two had a good time. I got worried I might kill you two off. But you both rode like champs.

Stem, you don't have to worry about getting lost. They rent locator beacons now...just ride until 3:00 then push the button and let search and rescue come find you LOL :D. No seriously though the do have these really slick SPOT beacons (not avi beacons) you can rent for $10/day and if you get into trouble one button it will email your GPS coordinates to the lodge, there is also a 911 button that will bring ALL of the search and rescue people down on you.

Rascal. You didn't kill us but we were pretty shot after that ride. Well worth it though. It was awesome. For those who are interested, I will post a couple pics tonight. they aren't anything special but something to look at.

WAs up from the Idaho side last saturday and ran into a couple from Calif. up riding rental sleds from Beaver Creek Lodge on the trail. They were lost and the lady had cut her chin deep helped the out and sent them down the right trail back to the lodge . She said she had presssed the help button and a little while we were stopped by a gentelman looking for them sent him down the trail after them. Be sure to take water when riding and some snacks these people had nothing . Can't wait to go back that way and play again was my first time in the area.

greg, You had way more snow than I had, but you inspired me. Shane took like 450+ pics while we were there Martin Luther King weekend, here are some of the highlights. Beaver Creek- SICK PLACE!
