My daughter and her friend took off from the meeks cabin side and was headed up on top of elizabeth. As they were headed for tower hill the one sled lost all power and died, so they both got on hers and headed out. They went about a half mile when the other sled broke a crank. It was 4:00 At that point so they decided to make a shelter and build a fire. We started the search around 9:30 pm & by around 12:00 am they were found. When I got to bear river service around 11:00 to see if they had came that way Adam called out search and rescue and got them coming just in case they hadn't been found yet. He fueled both of the sleds and we headed back up on top. When we got back on top we found out that they had been found and were headed down to the truck, so I call adam back and he called off search and rescue. A good lesson to learn about this is to always be prepared to stay out all night. Thank GOD that they did.
To all the people that showed up last night in -13 degrees, I thank you. With out your help it would have taken much longer.
