BDXtreme rear bumper kit

I was wondering if they are still having troubles with the tunnel cracking? is it strong enough? just would like some more info on this kit and some opinions about it

They released the update kit, I have mine but haven't put it on yet. If I had to do it over again I would go with a different bumper.

They don't list it on their website they make it custom, but wow is it nice and worth every penny. All you have to do is call the shop and tell them what you want they will cut it out and weld it up. Just ask them for the custom boondock section. Sometimes it takes about 2 weeks, but in the summer what the heck who cares. It is very high quality and the welds are perfect. By the time you spend the money on a BDX B.S. bumper you could just as well bought the VE one and been done with it. If you need to buy a new rear tunnel piece because their horse crap engineering cracking system then you end up paying more anyway.

The nice thing about VE is you call the shop you talk to the owner. He knows everything about his products and he is actually out in the shop making the parts and he is the one testing the parts. All of their stuff works well. To tell you the truth I havent heard any complaints about any VE products really.

As for BDX hmmm... Cracked bumpers, blown up engines from their oil delete kit, diamond drive is definitly no bullit proof system, M1000 intake makes sleds run like crap/noises, M series 2 wheel kits have issues with bolts rubbing and these are just the arctic cat problems I know of. Some people witht he BDX rear bumper say they dont put their sleds on a warm up stand because they are afraid to break their bumper. Does that sound like a part you are willing to pay 200+ for? Not me! Then they come up with a redneck fix to support their little dinky bumper. I would rather have a good bumper that I could hook a rope on to pull my buddy or myself out than save a just a little bit of weight.

I hate to bash on this BDX company, but hey it is a proven fact that their products are under engineered, low quality and cause problems. All of the points I have made in this post are supported by topics here on snowest search the site for bdx and just read the stories. Pretty amazing.

Maybe BDX should get a new R&D Team? Chrome doesn't get you home and these chicks need to get their act together.
