I have 2006 M7 that is all stock with the exception of a can. I have a BDX intake for this sled and am just wondering if I need a fuel controler I really do not want to go this route. I ride at approx 3000 to 10000 feet and do not want to start to lose the reliability of stock either. If I put this on will I see any big gain or benefit and will I lose my reliability as well. Could really use help on this. Thanks in advance for any help.

from what i have read ,, the 700's dont see a good benifit from intake unless they are , BB,ported, piped ect.
i have a BB 700 sled i use for flatland and it has an intake on it and works well.
yours being close to stock, you would have to have a fuel box, that midrang lean would get scarry without. plus wanting to have a set up that rides 3-10k is a tall order also , clutching alone.

Normal riding 3000 to 6000

Sorry I should have been more clear we normaly ride at 3000 to 6000 feet. We are taking a trip to Cooke City this January and will be in 10000 feet. Speeking of clutching I have a cutler clutch kit in it should I also be looking at changing my clutching for the trip to Cooke City. Thank you in advance I am new to the sport and trying to learn as much as possable.

We have a m-7 with a bdx intake in our group that also has a head cut timing key can with boss noss on it with no controller other than the noss controller and it has run for years like this without blowing up.

It has stayed its entire life in Cooke.

My M-7 has a can and the BDX intake and I do not run a fuel box. You won't notice a huge differance but it does shave a couple of pounds off the front end, so that was worth is to me. Any more than a can and intake and I would look into a fuel box.

In cooke, You will not feel a difference, only benifit is weight savings. It also could cause a bog in which you would need a fuel controller to adjust things a bit. You will need diff clutching to run in cooke, the dealer in Cody tried many intakes and thought the m7 lost power over all. At lower elevation it might be diff though.

i had an 06 m7 with the 153 slp can and bdx intake and loved it.. it helps with weight big time and i did not have to run a controller on it and it ran great.....
