bdx intake install questions

Theres a clear tube coming out of ecu that wasn't hooked to anything, and was wondering if thats how its suppose to be? hope so. When i took the intake off, there was alot of oil/gas liquid in the plastic part that goes to the engine. Is that normal? Any info would be great. tim

The tube goes onto this little clear box type thing in the ECU... Just kinda fits on there. The oil type liquid I'm assuming is normal because my M7 and my dad's M8 were both like that. We got the BDX intake as well... Haven't used it yet though!

run the tube straight down. A little oil residue is ok. a lot means that there was a leak or something around the stock airbox seal. This is part of the ecu efi readings. suggestion on the velcro that attaches to the bulkhead, rivet the far ends. It will keep you from having to redo it.

I believe the clear tube is for the altitude/bar pressure. Free end does not connect to anything and should be completely clean. The end of the tube should be pointing down (lower than the ECU), for it to work properly (or so I've read).

I read your post as if you have a second concern with oil being between the throddle bodies and the intake? If so, that is common on all 2 strokes to get some oil blow back into the intake (but not a chit load).
