BDX Intake And SLP Pipe??

Going to instal a BDX intake and SLP pipe kit on an 07 M8. Im sure im going to need a fuel controler.. For curiosity where did you have to add fuel or take fuel away? It has had the new computer flash done and has a little bog of idle!!

I found last year that I had to take fuel out of the mid range, like 5000 lo and mid and add fuel in the 7800 and 8100 hi ranges. I'd give you the numbers but I sold that box when I bought a turbo. I was told one of the reasons for the reflash was to cool under hood temps and the way they did it was to add fuel in the mid range. Be careful leaning the sled out there if you don't have EGT's or an A/F gauge. The mid range on the M is runs pretty lean normally so you will want to watch your gauges carefully when you take fuel out there. I believe I added 7 or 8 to the 7800 hi and 10 to the 8100 hi. I just don't remember where I had the 5000 lo and med. Hope this helps.

Im thinking of running the Attitude box!?!?!? Anyone have good luk with this setup and box? Or should i go another direction?

Just be careful and do your homework guys. I have an 07 M1000 that I squeaked twice running the SLP setup with a BDX air box. I attribute my problems to both my tuning abilities and the BDX air box leaning the sled out on a long wide open pull. There is nothing wrong with the BDX air box in my opinion, however you will have to adjust your fuel curve accordingly. This was my first shot at a semi mod sled so there was one heck of a learning curve for me. I know your question was regarding an M8 however this should apply to your sled as well.

What is better and easyer to tune with? And A/F or EGT im kinda ne to the whole tunning thing. Dont want to squeek a motor..1300 is melting point and 12.5 is optimal right?

i think the A/F wideband would be much better for tuning. at least you know forsure if your lean or rich. lower egts dont forsurely mean a rich condition. just my 2 cents.

i prefer the o2 to the egt, or run both.
my target o2 is 11.7, 12.5 is a little lean and as conditions change
you could end up too lean if your not always watching your gauges.
as for an acceptable egt#, different sleds run different temps.
some will seize at 1350 and i have rode ones that run 1450 all day long and stay together.just my experience...

Can anybody give me a little starting point on controllers and #'s I asked SLP but they told me that the BDX intake is not very good and so they dont have any #'s for it? and they dont recomend the attitude box. But if i just use their pipe i dont need a controller. Boondocker said to ask SLP!! So im kinda at a loss right now.. I was thinking of trying the SLP # for their performance package. But i dont have porting yet. But im Sure TheBDX intake flows more air.

have some buds who have been running the timbersled intake and full slp pipe for 2 years with no controller. as long as your above 4-5k they've had no problems...

I start of around 2000ft and climb to 5000-8000 riding area. So im sure im going to need a controler.

The only thing with a regulator is you cant take fuel away.. I herd they rich on the bottom.. That might make it worse.

I have an 09 M-1000 SLP pipe, Y,can, and BDX. Run 2000-6000. Have been running SLP #s with no issues. They are a little on the rich side anyway.IMO.;)

At 2500k to 6000k being too lean is my concern. Even the guys around here that have porting and other mods run a regulator and a fuel box. Keeps things consistant.
