On a 2010 m8.. What you think about that?? good idea. or should I wait till winter comes?

I like the intake, but Every sled reacts differently to changes, I'd let someone else be the guinea pig.

Do you have a buddy with one that you could swap in & just try maybe? See how it feels? It'd only take a few minutes to just slap in the airbox to see if there is any negative effect.

i'd say go for it, never hurts to loose weight!!! if it doesn't work out i see you've got an 07, you could just put it on that one.

I really like the Black Boxx. It really lightens up the hood but with that said I think the best way to go about it is to get a set of EGT's and run the sled STOCK for a few weeks to get a base line reading. Then add the intake and if you see a big change in your readings then you will need a fuel controller.

With this approach it won't matter so much if you mount your probes a little to close or to far away from your exhaust ports.

This is a dang good question!

I too am in a siliar boat, since I just bought a preprogramed Power Commander III for the SLP preformance package and it is calibrated for the SLP air intake. I plan to use the SLP intake and take readings via egts and the powercommander and only then will I very ginergly try my BDX Box.

I suspect it will work fine with normal regualr gas but, we have fuel up here (in some areas) with ethanol that may push my EGYT readings over the edge?

Good post!

X2....

I really like my koso dual fast prob egts. the seem to read spot on, on my m1000. they have about 1600miles(2 seasons) on them and still working great. You can find them cheaper if you look around.

anyone know where I can get some for a little chepear? Will the snow show in Salt Lake have them cheaper?

Ditto here, make sure you get the fast probes, there's a big difference.

i saw some on ebay for $200 ish brand new, just make sure you read the full listing and its a reputable seller.

I instaled mo-flows bumper vents!! I never liked the holes idea and just little frogskin covers!! Better to be safe then sorry.Didn't want to lose a great day do to a missing screen! But i love the intake!!

they hold up well but if they do rip i just put some duct tape on both side of the hole and keep riding, breathes a lot better than stock in deep pow
