BDX Belt Deflection Adjuster bolt?

I installed the BDX Aluminum Belt Deflection Adjuster in my 2005 M7. I set it to where the belt sits about 1/8 inch above the secondary and just under the point of belt squeel.
After adjusting I tightened the bolt but the adjuster is still loose. Feels like the bolt bottoms out before tightening on the adjuster.
I'd hate to overtighten and break something or strip the threads.

Has anyone else had this happen or have any info on this?

Is the washer on the bolt?

You have the deflection all the way loose still. Add some more washers until the sheeves just start to spread, that should give you enough.
