BD standalone tps relative ebc??

Has anyone run the BD electronic boost controller that controls boost off of throttle position? How did it work?

I know that the new bd kits have this built into the fuel box, I just want to use the standalone unit on an old carb sled.

Thanks for any info

tps boost controlled box. running one now and compared to my older one 2010 it is so smooth and so much easier to tune . the power deliver is linear almost like ramping up a big electric motor with a speed control, I really like it.

It is very nice. On the trail you can ride at 1/3 throttle for about 3 seconds and hear the turbo spool. You look at the gauge and voila 2 lbs of boost. The throttle response is instant with very little lag and it truly does match boast to TP

How is it possible for the ebc to get 2psi boost on 1/3throttle if the wastegate spring is set at 6psi?

If you have your ebc set at 6psi and have 2/3 throttle the ebc would try to give you 4psi, but If the wastegatespring is set at 6psi, you will get 6psi

Something i am missing here?

I believe it is a lighter spring and the boost solenoid which is controlled by the BD box sends an electronic signal to open the solenoid x amount, letting x amount of pressure reach the waste gate actuator

But if you have to light spring. (Under 6-7psi) and want for example 12psi.
The exhaustpressure alone will open the wastegate before you reach 12psi.
If you set your adjustabel wastegate on 5psi and the ebc on 12psi. You will get lets say around 9psi.
I have to turn the wastegate up to around 8psi so the wastegate can hold back the exhaustpressure.

That means no mather what the ebc says I will get atleast 8psi if i produce enough exhaust at that point.
