BD PG 2 stroke Turbo systems Rock!

They do sound like fun, but If you rode it back to back with a Nytro, I don't think you would think it was "way" more fun.
Contrary to popular belief, we spend most of our riding in the trees. When you ride in Revy, the majority of the days are fogged in so trees it is, and we love it. Veedy has a ton of over the windshield tree riding footy this year, but not sure if much of it will make Boost 4 because of the low light. Also contrary to popular belief...turbo yammies rock in the trees. tourque rules!!:D

Cheers

LOL Sorry, I just think you're being a little defensive about the 4 stroke thing.....reminds of days not long ago when everyone was trying to convince the 4 stroke boys that 4 strokes we're the way to go. If he says it's "WAY" more fun, then in his opinion, it's "way" more fun. LOL Thing is, unlike a lot of guys that voice their opinion, he has actually owned a 4 stroke and is going back, so he has experience with both.

To each his own.

Yup. 10-4. i guess my point was that i jumped off a 4stroke and on to a 2 stroke, and my opinion was way different. I am not sure of the last time that Ken rode a T-Nytro to make a fair comparo. My bad...have a good weekend.:):beer;

Are you boys still riding up that way? I rode a Nytro at 13# for about 10 minutes and really liked it. (Up in Revy at turbo) It felt light to me, and like it handle really well.....BUT, 10 minutes just isn't enough time . With that said, I'm going M1000 with boost.

Happy riding!:beer;

I HAVE ridden them back to back and I still find the 2-stroke MUCH easier to ride, a lot less work,so less tiring . All out power....no contest!! But I am at the stage where all out power is NOT what I like. I LOOOOVVVEEEE power, I have nitrous and a BB on my quad. But I find the NEW 2 stroke with boost has all the power I need and all the weight I don't..This is just my opinion and what I am doing..As long as you have boost 2 or 4 you will have fun..02

boondocker turbos are awesome, i had them on 4 different sleds that i built this past winter and they all ran flawless, this is my opinion on the bd kits as well not any other turbo builders out there, they might work well also. i hope the bd kits for the m1000 come with good reeds too. they like to eat factory reeds on the m1000 from what i witnessed.

I just order mine last month (BD pg) can't wait to try it!!
And now with the new controllers it should be even better

Sled

Have you pick out a sled yet?

Ya, H2Otoyz made me a deal that I just couldn't refuse on his mod M1000.....not a twisted, but being set up by Jeff at Dakota performance and B. Story, it should be good!

Any other bites on your sled?

I you still have it next year I would love to hook up and compare.

Good luck with the sale.

Al

Ok , I gotta admit the yammi's were a hell of alot of fun to and if I was still making weekend trips to revy alot like I did when I owned one, I'd probably still have one. This last season I've been staying close to home and riding a stock M-8 and lov'n it. Our tree riding here is ALOT tighter then Revy's and although I've ridden a t-yami here alot........there's just not enough places to open it up. This is where in my opinion the PG-T8's have the advantage.

My sled is as Light as You can Get Pretty Much (BD T Vector on 20lbs) and it is Nothing Compared to 03RMK's (BD PG Stock M8 on 8lbs) for Flick'ability. But, with that said. It is Nothing like the 4 Banger in the Power Department, Not even Close! We are talking two complete opposites. It's really what you like and Want. I see where a Guy would like the PG 2 stroke Turbos for ever day Riding. Cuzz My 4 Stroke wears Me OUT in the Trees after a Hard Day. But When I Do find a Big Pull in the Deep Stuff, I'm going over the TOP
(if I don't Crash)! Where you won't even come Close on the PG 2 Smoke Turbo. To each his Own!!!
Cheers and Have a GREAT Day!!! JOP :beer; :)

The 2010 m8 with BDPG kit is working really well. I rode it hard for two day's last week. It really rips and the throttle response is amazing. BD has some really innovative ideas they're working on and It's already trickling down to the production kits. I also rode there 2010 PGT-D8 and was super impressed with it as well. With guy's like Reid Hedlund,Brett Rasmussen, Glenn Hall and Chris Burandt on there team there's some wickedly fast reliable 2 stroke turbo stuff coming your way from these guy's! I was impressed, and ask Reid....it's hard to impress me after riding bullit proof MC-express yamaha turbo systems for 5 years.

So are these changes that are coming to the PG turbos something that will be new and only on the 2010 models, or will the 2008 & 2009 kits have the ability to be upgraded? I want a PG turbo next year for my Dragon 800, but want to know if I should wait for the 2010 PG turbo, or even buy a complete 2009 PG turbo Dragon already set up if it has the ability to be upgraded?

Thanks

That is the great part about the BD systems the boxes has plenty of room to have updates put on them. The new waste gate system will also have a new LCD Boost screen.

I am not sure on the cost yet though there has been a ton of R&D money thrown into this project and has been in the works for a wile now.

I and all the dealers have been spring checking kits for a great price as well that will have all the new 2010 specs as well.

You can't go wrong with an 08 or 09 dragon as either. Reid's 08 with pump gas is amazing and its a production kit with just some custom clutching.

Does Reid do installs too? if yes how much?

He's the Canadian distributor and is very busy, but I'm sure he'd recommend dealer in your area. I know Darren the Cranbrook a/c dealer could hook you up with a good set-up and there's likely a closer dealer to you.

Here's a few pics of a couple rides last weekend in the kootenay's riding the Boondocker 2010 pg m8t, 2010 d8-t, m-901-t, m-1200t,09 pgd8t and a m1000-T. Lots of fun with a great buch of dudes.
