I think KAWGRN meant to say it did have turns, therefore the Apex with the extra weight would've been alot harder to maneuver through the turns then the really lightweight XP. Is what I'm guessing.

Probably not the weight but the added power of the turbo. Turbo's not really a great hillclimb vehicle for on and off the throttle, winding in and out of gates, power is huge but they seem to spend a lot of time spinning (especially on ice) once they spool, stockers might have the advantage with less power but being able to make it more useable (not just overpowering the track). This is my experience anyway from watching most of the turbos in hillclimb comps that I have seen. The BCSF used to be a little better for turbo's IMO, since the courses weren't as icy as say..the widowmaker. The BCSF courses had a few less turns well, and they also had the big hills like Barkerville which was pretty much a straight shot and would really be a turbo-friendly hill IMO. The RMSHA hills tend to be more jackson-style with more ice and hardpack and more turns.
Just my $0.02.
