Come early like 7am... There wiil be parking on the road. We are trying to get the county to push the snow over the bank off the side of the road.. You might contact RichyRich and stay in his trailer?? It would save you money and an early drive on Saturday....
Ok, i just found a new pproblem, the trailing arm i got used from a guy in canada was from an 01 summit, so it didn't fit!!! now im in a HUGE rush to find one. The shops say that the arm is discontinued so i can't get a new one... Im trying to get ahold of doo-work93.

I was there around 7:00 Saturday morning last year and was able to park relatively close to the snow park down on the road but the fog and weather in general kept quite a few folk from coming.
I only had a few hundred yards of mud and gravel to ride before the snow which made towing my buddy's dead sled out a real joy at the end of the day.
If the weather is going to be real nice for this year's event I would think you should try to get there friday afternoon or earlier.
You can have my spot this year...I can't make it.

You won't have a problem as long as you're not pulling a large trailer.
The road in is fairly wide in spots but turning a large trailer around will be a chore the later you get there.

The weather forecast looks good for next weekend but then you would have a Chaotic event experience which still would be fun if it all works out. On the other hand another time might work out for the better. Thursday is the mad dash for campers, Friday even more, Saturday? All depends on how you want your first Baker experience.
To this day I haven't toppled my first day at BearPaw. It was a Tuesday with Blubird settled fresh 2foot+ trackless, me and 2 buddies to chicken to drop down the backside of the widowmaker which I blazzed the front (worst part). Then some dude solo shows up and proceeds to tour me threw the backside to ourselves. It was EPIC MAJOR. My buddies never did drop down that day and I never let them forget that they missed a good one.

Things arn't lookin to good for me... Doo-work is a hard man to get ahold of and we havn't schedualed a time to meet. I can't believe my whole trip has come down to a damn bent trailing arm. Swear to god im gonna heat up the 01 trailing arm and bend the shock mount to fit if i can't get one...

You are just going to have to pry one of those XLTs out of your dads hands for the event. You'll just need to put a bar riser on it.

Hey call Steal Dreams in Burlington Wa. they got me an after market one from somewhere try them and you can always pick it up on your way to baker..
I think they got it from parts unlimited.... Not sure

Just take a saw cut the bend out of the arm then bolt on some angle Iron on both sides to reinforce it. Won't look pretty but it will definitely work for the weekend.
hey new to the area never heard of this before.. is this just a climb thats judged or head to head racing or what? havnt been to baker yet but been wanting to so maybe this is the time to go!!

Truthfully, it's a giant orgy, with lot's of booze and sled swapping, folks eating wieners (it's a North Bend thing), hamburgers, and bragging. Along with good people, some that suck, lot's of smiles and DEMO SLEDS!!!!
