Baker NRA is OPEN.
I just got off the phone with the Ranger.
Sno-Park permits are also required.

Ride safe guys and keep a sharp eye for hidden obstacles and holes....there are plenty until its gets a good base up there.

Good ride!

We parked at the second lot, road was blocked there.

The road has good coverage and was smooth until we crossed the bridge into the meadow.......then it was whoops.

When crossing the creek, the other side is a bit rocky but very passable.

We rode sulfur side and had great snow, deep enough for an occasional stick - due more to flat light. When we first arrived we tried heading up above hood knob but we were unable to see 2 feet in front of our sled, riding by Braille is not much fun.

On the ride out the road was getting thin in the corners, definitely need more snow.

Have fun and be safe.

It was passable today but melting fast on the road up and on the rocks up the wash. I would bet the 25th may still be ok but after a couple more days of sun/warm it will be pretty much a waste of time to go up is my guess. We need a couple more feet fast!!!

Had a nice ride today. The snow was thin on the road on the way back down. A guy could park a motorhome at the 2nd lot but its getting thin, I would like to drive up further but Im not the guy that makes that call. So just past the creek crossing, its a little sketchy with some rocks to manuver around but not bad, unless your the guy thats on that old 1970 something 440, good luck, he was on his 3rd try. So we made up past big house to the gnarlys where the pic was taken. The snow was wet with a warm wind blowing, but hey, sun and untracked , spring like conditions. I even got sun burned. A great day!

We rode Schrieber Meadows, and part of park butte yesterday and then Blue lake again. Everything got groomed yesterday right before we rode. Unfortunately Schrieber meadows was melting fast towards the bottom and there are parts where you are literally riding on dirt. Also I wasn't able to make it up park butte because there was too many big rocks and I didn't have the clearance. I would guess that if we don't get snow soon the bottom of Schreiber meadows won't even be passable. However Blue lake trail has plenty of snow and no thin spots and is a great cruising trail.

Pray for more snow!!!
