The good was Friday we went up and rode on the right. under the clouds it was awesome. Untracked fresh snow!
Friday night other riders showed up
The BAD!!!!
On Saturday we rode up the hill on the gravel and discovered friends coming down with a disabled sled. We stopped to get the scoop. It was decided instead of tow it down the gravel road Brian would go get the truck. Brian rounded the corner 100 feet behind us he discovered our riding buddy injured and disoriented in the road.
Michael had driven up the road and surfed a patch of snow to cool the sled on the left side. After he cleared the snow his left ski fell off and it stuck and pivoted the sled left, over the embankment and sent it crashing down the hill.
The upper A arm was broken in multiple locations.
Michael had high sided and was knocked out, his shoulder was injured, probably collar bone break.
We climbed down the bottom to the sled and proceeded to turn it around.
Cass thought he would try and side hill to get it out. Good idea but the ground was too soft.
Unfortunatly it wasn't going to work. Then a Jeep Rubicon drove by and we yelled to him to see if he had a winch. He did and stopped and gave us assistance.
Michael had purchased new SLP ski combo a couple of months ago. The Ski came apart and fell off. The ski was above on the side of the road.
