i have a friend (major skidoo promoter haha) that syas he heard that the XP belt problems were all coming from a batch of cheap made it taiwan belts or something....i find it kinda iffy to believe seeing how TONS of pple are having this problem...wut are your thoughts?

Heard the myth as well... but not sure if its sure or not?
i put a utimax 803 on the other day and no more belt problems, went threw 3 skidoo belts in 3 days ridding....
I tried SNOPES and it did not show up there yet, but I'm sure they are on top of it.
Check the lead content--maybe they're made in CHINA

i'm not even going to read previous posts. the problem is....
...IMO, belt adjustment. i have 7 rides on mine and no sign of wear. all i do is ride powder and hill climb. so i would imagine that i'm puttin a ton of spin and heat on it and i haven't had a problem. as it seems ppl are talking about taking two or three rides and having problems.
