backcountry skiing with sleds around bozeman and big sky

My youngest brother is a sophmore out in bozeman and we have always went out a a few times a year to ski and sled. We are trying to get some trips together to do some backcountry skiing with the sleds. The best spot i have seen myself would be that small forest service cabin above West Yellowstone to the north. We have a big enclosed heated trailer and half dozen sleds. I figured someone has to know better areas to do this kind of stuff out there? We are all experienced sledders and skiers and have the gear to do it safely. Any ideas or recommendations where to go? Thanks

bridgers are always a pretty common spot to sled ski.

Cooke is probably the best since you can loop sleds up super high and minimize hiking.

Thinking you rode the Cabin Creek/Tepee area N of west jellystone. There is some pretty cool access to large vert in there for sure!

Another - West Fork of the Madison. Black Butte, Standard Creek, Freezeout. Off the beaten path.

1st place would be Cooke. You can hit some cliff drops if you go farther in. 2nd would be Bridgers but sled access is limited. 3rd Would be Lions Head West of West Yellowstone. Watch out for avis and alot of hill climbers but u can get some sweet runs mid week. 4th Would be Crazys but you gotta watch for rocks and would need to be lots of snow. But good verticle and sled access is decent. you'll have to do some hiking to get to some ridges. Its the underrated location because it has some challenges. 5th I'd put Taylor fork and Buck creek in here as there isnt any really long runs and not a ton of vert. But u can most definitely find some good stuff in both.

we all ski so haven't had to carry a snowboard much, I have a few buddies that will use there snowboard backpack and leave it on there back. For the skis we have gun racks that we put on the side of the tunnel and they hold the skis very well.
