Last year I order a stature and it took forever to get it . Are that still slow ? I need the 09 front end and engine crossmember.
Thanks
Joe

I ordered from babbits last week and got my piston within 5 days.

Most of these discount online sellers have inflated shipping policy's. $18 to ship a part that weighs 1 lb and came is a 4x4x4 box. I wish they would either do actual shipping price, or have an option for usps flat rate.

I always recommend Carl's Cycle Sales. Some parts may be a few dollars more than Babbits, or a few other discount OEM parts sites, but they have always been quick to get my parts to my door, plus they carry alot of aftermarket parts which you wont find at other places.... saves on shipping in ordering everything you need from one vendor. Chris Kasel in parts / performance is on of the most knowledgeable and helpful guys you will ever find, and he knows the 900's well.

carls gets my vote to. chris knows his stuff and is always helpful. i made the mistake and ordered from babbits before, took forever. then showed up in four boxes that all charged shipping and took a total of five weeks.

Yes you can, but it depends what you want for a bumper....
Fastrax sells the kit with a nice aftermarket bumper, and also with no bumper at all leaving you the option of which bumper to put on your sled.
Carls, like most other places sells the standard polaris kit with the stock 09 bumper.

Have you tried your LOCAL dealer

My local dealer, and there is only one, is double the price of Babbitts. I can wait the extra time for the parts. However both times
I've ordered stuff I had it in 5 days and that is to Alaska

Have you tried taking in a printout of the part you need with the price from Babbitts and see if they will price-match for you? That's what I do with my local dealer when its something big and they are usually willing to match it or come within a couple dollars;):D

Then again, I have bought a LOT of stuff from my dealer in the past, lol:eek:

I tried that last year and they laughed and said no way. Not enough proffit margin and the bosses didn't allow it. I have bought a lot of stuff from them also and so have a bunch of my friends but they won't budge on the prices. I can get a military discount (10%) from one of the counter guy's because he knows me but anyone else and I can't even get that. The prices are double what Babbitts/Carls are so for big pre-season orders I go to them or direct to the manufacturer.

All - I haven't ordered parts from anyone other than polaris. I have been aware of both babbitts and polarispartspitstop but just haven't ordered from either.

Based on this thread, I decided to order from polarispartspitstop so here is my experience. Note that I'm in Montreal Canada.

Ordered tie rod ends for 95 polaris xlt on 26/09/2010.
Recieved order confirmation 26/09/2010 with estimated delivery 4 Oct - 8 Oct via standars USPS ($36.48 shipping).

Order shipped 30 Sept from MI.

Arrived at Canada customs 4 Oct and endured 8 days processing.

Left canada customs 12 Oct

Hoping to receive it today.

At the same time, I ordered an oem pipe for the same machine off ebay and here is my experience with that order.
USPS Priority ($29.10 shipping)
Ordered Pipe 26/09/2010
Order shipped 27/09/2010 from IL
received order 5 Oct

observations:
Appears that priority shipping may eliminate border delays
ebay seller shipping cost appears cheaper for better shipping service particulary considering the perceived weight difference between 6 tie rod ends vs a pipe.

Btw: pipe was only $15 and is in excellent shape

For the best all the way around.....order from Michelle - FreeAgent.

Great customer service
Great prices
Quick shipping

I ordered a laundry list of misc parts all over the board on Mon. She received them on Wed and they showed up to my house today, Friday
