How about your original bumper with a bigger front tube (1.5") instead of the all 1" tube??

I suppose there's no way to add that new piece onto one of your original bumpers is there? I've ran your first front bumper for two years now and really like it, but I love the looks of this design!

Not really going to be cost effective to add this to an already existing bumper. Will be cheaper to sell your current one and upgrade to this one.

Personally we like the 1" tube but it is always a possibility to go to a bigger front tube. 1.5" tube would be huge though, 1.25" tube is what we run on the front of the Pro-Climb bumper we make and it looks big compared to the 1". That being said it will add quite a bit more weight to it as well.

Thanks,

Bryan

More Pictures

Stayed late last night to pull sleds out and remove the bumper finally.

NOTE: This is a prototype bumper, these are put together to see what it will look like and ultimately bash it to breaking point. The build quality is not to my personal standards as far as fitment, symmetry, and weld quality. There is no effort put into cleaning these prior to welding or tack weld sizing so please look past that and focus on the concept of it. When I have a jig built in the next week or so I will put up a finish welded piece to show the build quality that we put into our products.

Bumper off of sled.

Lower mounting with it mounted on the sled. This tube layout will keep it from getting caught in case you have to back up over something. Looks better than having two open tubes hanging on the bottom as well.

Different angle of same spot. These are not the bolts that will come with them. Bolts will be a button head bolt.

Top side layout. Mounting to the over structure like we we have since day one on the bumpers and cross tube for torsional rigidity.

Excuse the messy belly pan, (This sled gets ridden and is no trailer queen, not to mention being torn apart for various projects about 5 times.)

1/4" bolts through the casting bosses in the bottom of the belly, there will a template that comes with to align these holes since they don't already exist.

Lower plate and tubing fit to be smooth in reverse situations.

Another view. Shipping is going to be SPENDY on this thing...

Let me know if you have any more questions or comments and I'll do my best to respond later at night when I get home as we are busy lately.

Thank you,
Bryan

Is there a way to bundle some bumpers together and send out? Looks like they could be padded and stacked like conference chairs, then packaged for shipping.

I was thinking either some dealers could bulk order, or some guys in a local area that would want to make a group buy.

I wanted to share my experience with my B&M bumper (previous design). My Pro was ghost ridden into a large tree at easily 20-25 mph. Although the damage looks bad, the bumper did EXACTLY what B&M designed it to do. The rear moutning tabs folded up and caused NO damage to the pyrmaid or bulkhead whatsoever! Infact I was able to pull this bumper off, striaghten some plastic, throw a stocker on and ride the rest of the week. The pipe was dented, but not nearly as bad as if a stock bumper were in place. Point being, this bumper saved my bacon, and my trip. With the extra bulkhead braces, this new design will be the best on snow.

Looks good. Your guys quality is awesome. Have your boards and installed about 6 sets on other sleds too. Top notch.

Possibly, once I get this jig finished and build a few I can stack some up and see how many we could ship to get the cost down. I checked for fun and if I can get 4 of these together the shipping would come down to roughly $20 a bumper, single would run almost $60!

Is there any update to when this bumper will be available for purchase?

We'll have a few with us in Epping NH next week. Jigs/fixtures are finally done. Just need a little time to build them and get them out. I'll get the final details up tomorrow night. They will be available for order in the next couple days.
