AXYS Twins??

Ya tarra alps has them on there Facebook page.. said up to 20 hp gain @ 84000 rpm.

$1500.00!!!!
1500 CAD, more like $1160 USD, still not cheap, but a little more in the realm of what a guy would expect.

Heck, if it really pushed that thing up 20HP, a twin piped axys would be knocking on the door of a lot of higher end sleds. They are already pretty hard to beat in deep snow with how well they just seem to get up and go. Add a healthy punch of track speed. now you're talking!

Yep...not bad if they live up to the hype...already a bad *** sled stock.

My bad on the CAD pricing and yes I would agree 20HP on an Axys would be pretty bad azz!!!

My only concern would be the customer service. I'm not going to go into details but I hope things are now good with Terra Alps and things are going well.

Slightly off topic but does anyone else find 8400rpm to be a bad rpm for harmonics?
Not positive on the NA sleds but the turbo sleds really seem to be in perfect harmony at 8400 to 8600 and sometimes higher. Makes the old 8250 feel like it's buzzing.

Its pretty wild, the HO motor sure does love to get reved out. Seems like it just keeps singing. I know on NA ones 8200-8300 seems to work rather well but like you said, add pressure, rev them up, and they just keep making power.

Mine is N/A but has a stage 3 and really likes the high rpm. The ceramic pipe likes it hot and doesn't fade like a couple other pipes Ive had.

Twins is a waste of time, port, head ,pipe ,controller and good. The money spent on twins is worthless. Not to mention the power range created for backcountry riding would suck... Only saying this bc 2-3 diff known engine builders have talked this over w me...drag race it's doable

Maybe for the only twins available on the market. But, a single pipe per cylinder is more efficient and can be tuned way better depending on the design of the pipe. And any pipe can be tuned for low end hit, mid hit, top end...or overall. So, to me, the right twins simply aren't being made for mountain riding for this sled. But, it's a no brainer that one pipe per cylinder will produce more power...has always been the case for 2 strokes. Just need to right tune on them.
