Axys standard gauge, doesn't boot until sled warms?

So the last couple of rides, I've noticed that when I start the sled cold, the gauge cluster doesn't boot up for a few minutes until the sled warms up. Is this normal? Anyone else seen this?

I've had it happen on the colder mornings. I asked the dealer about it and was told it is normal

I have seen mine not come on until idle comes up once and also once it never came one when it was cold, While running I disconnect harness and reconnected which fixed it,

I've had this problem as well. Not sure why it's the same gauge as the pro chassis.

Heard a rumor that when at idle it cuts power to some things, I have some accessories connected to the plug labeled rca power in bag below the bars and at idle they turn off and when I go again the come back, was also told the head light will do this at idle but haven't seen the that yet, and my gauge dose it as well at idle even in the shop were its 60*

My experience as well as what I believe the OP is referring too is not shutting off due to lack of amperage, but due to cold. When idle drops below ~1200 rpm, it shuts off lights/gauge, but the other issue is that the gauge just DOESN"T come on whether you idle it up or not, until it gets warm.

Next time your does it, try disconnect and connect main hood harness while still running.

Mine did this until I put a little dielectric grease on the hood connector when I had the sled all nice and dry. Now it comes on when I start the sled.

What accessories do you have connected to this plug? I was thinking about hooking my AFR gauge to this for power. Don't know that I like the idea of it getting intermittent power though.
I have put dielectric on the hood connector. I'll try to disconnect and reconnect next time it does it though. It does seem to be cold related, as it doesn't happen in the garage as long as the sled has been in for a while.

Mine does the same thing when it's very cold, comes on after running for a few minutes.

I have an koso afr and garmin gps

My sled was fine, but one that we were riding with had no display until warmed up this weekend. I don't think this is normal.

I never had any issues with guage not starting but if I do have my lights on bright and it goes to idle 1750 rpm they automatically go to dim until u give it a little gas again

I hooked my AFR power to this plug (RCA Acc Pwr) under the steering post. My gauge will not turn on and stay on, below about 1900 RPM. So, at idle the AFr ****s down and then starts back up and has to pre heat the probe as I start moving every time. I can imagine this is good on the probe. Thinking that this plug must be behind a resistor making it secondary power that only goes hot once all primary's are fulfilled and amperage shows and excess. I will be looking for another power source for my AFR directly. There appears to be an additional open plug (black plug) hanging down from the headlight area. Anyone tied anything to that yet?
