Axys silber turbo at 12 pounds

Just installed a silber kit on my snowchecked 17 axys 800 155x3. Wondering if anyone ran this kit last year looking to see what psi you ran it at or did you use egt gauges? How relatable is it at 7psi? Can I run it at 12 with ac gas and not worry about the motor? Really no idea and don't want to expirament and wreck stuff any general information on setup or problems anything is helpful

The kit was tested extensively by Silber at 7psi. Many riders have had success running different amounts of boost (myself for instance at 5psi) and the kit is adjustable (as you know).

When considering how much boost to run, you need to consider the elevation you are at, if you are running an intercooler and your "fuel budget".

To your specific question, I don't know anyone running 12psi, though I know the turbo could handle it. At that point, you'd likely need to upsize your injectors, run an intercooler, run a fair amount of race gas (nearly 100%) and maybe even have Silber build you a custom map (something they don't have time for at the moment). Again, a lot of this depends on elevation.

I do know a few guys running 10, but your fueling and clutching need to change to match. Honestly, unless you are climbing the nastiest chutes around, most are blown away with performance at 7. A local guy hear set my primary with 82 @ 7#. 3-6000.. He runs 81.5.. Better to be heavy for break in road miles I think. Still haven't had my junk out yet.
Why wasn't this giving with the turbo kit and a set of installation instructions?

ill run it at 7psi. and be setting clutch up to run 9-12k feet. im going to run 50/50 100ll/92pump. also how many grams are you guys running up there? and they say run 8300-8500 rpms. that seems like a lot? and as far as break in goes on a brand new sled anyone have any tips? also any imput on a egt gauge? is it necessary?

EGT not required.

For break in, run a bit more 100LL than normal. At 9-12K, you normally would only need ~2-3 gallons per tank. So for break in run 50/50. Add a bit of oil to the first tank too per Polaris' recs.

Start with 74 grams w the Silber clutch kit and see where you are at. And yes, 8300-8500 is where you want to be!

EDIT: I should mention, I'm also breaking in my sled with a turbo and running the 3psi wastegate spring just for the first 100 miles (and clutching to match). Many others run it at 7 and have had success, I just feel better backing boost off until things are broken in properly.
